May someone please help me with this issue.

This is my first time owning a windows machine and I am trying to install RuneScape. The last time I played this game you didn't have to install anything.

Anyways I just bought this machine today which runs Win 8.1. I'm not used to windows so I don't know how to fix this problem. I tried installing on many different browsers and get the same error.

Has anyone run into this before or does anyone have a fix for it? I would be greatly appreciative, thanks!

 

Try running as administrator, or playing in a browser.

 

Can't play in a browser anymore. I used to play in chrome long past many others were able to, but I can't anymore. They're forcing you to use the client :L

 

I would but there is no option to install as admin.

Edit: I'm going to do a quick upgrade to win10 and see if that will fix it.

 

Is your OS 32 bit or 64 bit? Make sure you download the version of the client your OS is.

Try downloading Swiftkit, if you're ok with 3rd party software. It runs both RS3/07.

 

+1 trying to download clients on my mac was being a pain the ass so I just got rsbuddy like 2/3 rs population already uses it , pretty safe

 

Fuck it I'm uninstalling windows and installing Linux mint. My apologies for wasting you guys time, but I wanted windows because I thought it would be easier for my love but its a hog and a pain in the ass lol
