Maxing Osrs VS rs3

I'm interested in starting to play rs3 just wanted to know the difference in time on maxing etc if anyone can give me more information on this would be greatly appreciated

 

rs3 seems to have far better exp rates, but some skills go up to 120. I'd say OSRS is somewhat quicker as far as I know(though it's been a while since I've logged in to rs3)

 

Hmm thank you, Just to 99 tho osrs is still quicker?

 

i'm really not sure, but I think osrs should be a bit quicker. seriously though, just get maxed to the game you prefer playing. don't go for the quickest one.

To keep it brief, Rs3 is between 2.5-3x faster to max an account than Osrs.

 

It's definitely quicker to max on RS3 than OSRS, especially if you're just going for 99s rather than 120s. The XP rates are crazy and if you add those bonus XP stars and lamps it's just insane. There are also those double XP events that RS3 does every once in a while.

 

Both games are extremely difficult to max in, so don't listen to anyone that says ''omg rs3 lel xd trash-game , afkscape'' etc.. but I think it's faster to max in osrs , but surprisingly not by much

 

can you really max in 6months on OSRS? Cause if you know what you're doing on RS3 and you're decently efficient you can on RS3.

 

general rule of thumb is 2200-2500 hours to max in osrs (91.66667 in-game days played)

but with fastest most efficient methods in 07, you will max your account in 1700 hours (70.83333 in-game days played)

as for your question of can you max in 6 months, that's a sticky question, and it depends entirely on how many hours a day you play, let's for the sake of argument say you are playing 8 hours a day, and let's use 2200 hours to max

2200/8 = 275 days to MAX

1700/8 = 212.5 days to MAX

 

I guess it really boils down to knowledge of the game and time you want to spend on it. Thank you for the breakdown!

Anyway, Rs3 accounts have been maxed in under a month, a few weeks even...On the otherhand the fastest time to max on Osrs confirmed by a Jmod was 89 days and 20 hours using top EHP methods.

 

You do realize you need to buy thousands and thousands of keys in order to get lamps and bonus experience to do that, right?

 

Absolutely, but the same thing for Osrs with gp at those speeds if going for max efficiency considering runners and best xp methods. The guy wanted to know which is faster so there it is lol

 

If you mean with max 99 all skills, I would still say RS3 is much quicker, even though it has more skills. XP rates can be up to 1-3 million xp per hour using the right methods (combat), not even counting bonus xp.
Then doing the right D&D likes Warbands saves you a lot of time for certain skills. Also skilling did become profitable sometimes (smithing) which saves you time to make cash for buyable skills like prayer.
