Max main accounts

With the new update coming to osrs, you would be able to set your stats to max to stake with it.

This means for the account rentals it's done.
And the max main accounts are very likely to be dropping prices as there won't really be demand for the max main accounts anymore.

Thoughts?

I think yeah you are.

 

I don't see a significant drop in value just a slight decrease. Max mains are still valuable for other reasons.

 

Yep, Jagex blogged about the update coming to game like few days ago, so it comes pretty soon I reckon.

 

What other reasons do you think there useful for ?

 

They still cost the same to produce, they cant go much lower than they already are lol.

The cheapest services on the market make them @ $150-$180 each and that's barely getting by.

Prices reflect off supply and demand, with this update the demand will basically be gone.
Whos gona rent/ buy a main any more. ?

I would say they will still be the same price, but if you were just buying the accounts to stake then yeah rip

 

I'm glad i've sold my max staker for 200m couple days ago haha

 

Only the rental space should be affected in my opinion.

 

I think theres a lot of prebuilt maxed main stakers. Basically making them useless for anything else cuz unquested and noncombat skills and pray. These will most likely have an immediate drop in price because of no demand. However, thisll only be short term and price will fix itself eventually because it probably wont be as mass produced

 

As in just the rental sector will be affected. Max mains are still valuable for high end stuff in the game.

$150-180 basicly nets you a staking account with no quests no diarys or anything. just 99 melle stats(inc hp)

The renter section and also the people who build the accounts to sell will suffer from this.

Main account with high total lvls, quests, pets ect. wont be affected really.

 

I like it but I don't at the same time it's being introduced weird, they may as well make it so that you can equip the items that your boost to. AKA lev 3 could use a whip as they could boost to 99/99/99 stats. I honestly think a lot of people would start a new type of staking with 99 all stats and 10hp and make it pid essentially wins. (not sure if they will let you reduce stats)

 

I still don't understand how this helps jagex? If you can make a lvl 3 and start staking wouldn't it be easier to rwt? If you get banned for rwt you got nothin to lose because you're playing on a lvl 3 account and not a maxed 126 lmao.
