I thought this book was immensely interesting, the author really paints a clear picture of reality and it actually happens to make sense.
What do you think about it? Do you agree or disagree with it?

    The Science of Getting Rich

Obviously not. I actually evaluated getting rich:

    http://mypointlesslife.net/2009/11/29/success-needs-friends/

All you need is friends, and to network. Sometimes, you have to connect with people, but that doesn't mean you have to believe/be a worshipper...

Maybe I'm not reading this properly, but to me it seems like it's saying we need to believe in God to be rich? :p

    The Science of Getting Rich

So believing in God is a science now?

    The Science of Getting Rich

So if I want to be economically successful, I need to worship god?

    Damn.

I could of sworn the bible, which is supposedly factual, repeatedly warned against extreme wealth and the desire for riches above else.

And does this mean that if I (or anyone else) don't believe in your god, we're not allowed to be rich or successful?

    The Science of Getting Rich

Jesus fucking christ no... where in that whole post did I say you have to believe in God to be rich? Sounds to me like you are already classifying me as a religious wierdo based on incountering them so often. And did you even read the book? You posted only 10 minutes after me so you probably just skimmed the pages. Go and actually read the whole book.

The God thing was a different way of viewing things. When I say God I'm not talking about the personal God that Christians believe in. I believe on an intelligent mind that holds everything together. The reason the atom holds itself together, the reason why there are negatively charged particles, and the reason why we want things in our lives. There's a reason why most people who do a job just for the money are miserable, because they could have had the same success while doing something they actually love.

Please get rid of your assumption that God is some bearded guy in the sky, God isn't limited to one view since no one really knows what he looks like.

Wow, people are ignorant... Show me where in that book it says you need to worship God and where I said you need to worship God. You're putting words in my mouth.

You're right, I didn't even click your link as I had no desire to. Your 'good quotes' example turned me off immediately as both of them sounded religious and spiritual in nature.

I dont see "worship God" anywhere in that quote. You think that everyone who believes in God believes that he is some bearded guy in the sky who controls everything we do? Shows how uneducated and close minded you really are.

My mistake, I thought that people who believe that:

would probably be the kind of person to worship 'him'.

    The Science of Getting Rich

To say someone needs a God to be rich is a tipsy topic IMO. Questions such as "Which God is right?" would become asked frequently.

    The Science of Getting Rich

Deism - n. a religious and philosophical belief that a supreme being created the universe, and that this (and religious truth in general) can be determined using reason and observation of the natural world alone, without a need for either faith or organized religion.

Good thing the author of the book never says that you need a God to be rich. God damn you atheists preach about not believing in shit that doesn't have evidence, and here you are making shit up about the book and my beliefs without even reading it.

A physical copy of the book would be alittle easier on the eyes. But this'll do for free =/. I'll try to commit myself of reading the book, i'll tell you what I think of it afterwards; i'll post any questions that I need to be clarified also.

Depth of gratitude? Sounds like a little bit of worship is going on there...

Don't claim something isn't in the book when IT IS.
I'm a christian myself and I believe in god, but get your facts straight...
This book is a load of nonsense...

You don't need faith in anything to get rich, just enough distaste for being poor to do something about it.

Take me for example, marrying into 20M USD. That's a science.

God or the state. Illusion and corruption pays well at the moment.

I mean if you go into the market and try ... say start a hospital, for which there is near universal under-supply in the first world, then you'll be shot or imprisoned. But if you make weapons for the military or publish exploitative corrupt intellectual filth such as AGW on behalf of a university then you'll be a millionaire in a few years.

It pays well. It's all going to collapse, but at the moment it pays well.

Sell your soul for a million bucks? Most people are saying "hell yes!" Some of us know better.
