Sythe is a trust based market site, which most of the staff's time is spent banning scammers. It seems counter-productive to advertise sites run by well known scammers. Thoughts?

There needs to be a substantial amount of evidence to remove the adverts. Even then, Sythe would have to wait until the expiration date for the advertisement to be removed.

Being dodgy and having awful customer service isn't really the same as being a scammer. That being said, I still don't why BigBoiBets are allowed to advertise on this site when it's been proven time and time again that one of their co-founders is notorious for scamming. It just reflects poorly and makes us look bad.

Agreed, If he's aware they're dodgy to deal with i'm not sure why they're still up there, as much as they're providing revenue it surely can't be hard for them to find somebody else who isn't quite as retarded.

I'm sure plenty of Sythe members would like to advertise their own sites.

    Scam:

    Source

    Dodgy

Scamming is allot different from being dodgy. Usfine has just poor customer service but they're still legit.

Besides websites like Usfine pay Sythe for advertising so they can arrange flawless hosting (And an earning) for us. Unless you'd like to pay this amount monthly I think you should be happy Usfine is advertising here, if you don't like them just don't click on it (Or you can to make them go bankrupt :( )

This however I feel embarrassed off provided that it's proven their co-founders are notorious for scamming.

    Cheers!

Obv BibBoiBets's co-founder is a known scammer. As for USFine, the instance in that thread is only them being 'dodgy', but it's not like this is the only issue that anyone has had with them..

Well in that case, the same could be said about Dragon Dyce...

There are dozens of accusatory threads in which people claim to have been scammed by DD hosts in the past. Some of them are true, some aren't.

Yes, most of them are people trading imposters and whatnot, but we actually have a dispute system where legitimate scams are refunded by the administration. If you go to the site support staff on these sorts of gold selling sites, they will not hesitate to fuck you over.

I'm not trying to pick on USFine in particular, but these sorts of sites would rather lose a customer than repay them their $250 loss since they aren't held accountable like traders on Sythe would be.

Maybe it makes us look bad but its with Avertising sites that Sythe can get money and keep this forum running. In the point view of Richard himself, I dont think this will happen (denying advertisers who wants to pay him) but if I see it from a member perspective... Its true and it makes us look bad like heads said

lol? There have been countless threads where usfine has stolen peoples accounts etc. That sir, is scamming in my book.

even so, Richard should respect the members of his community over an advert that is scamming his user base. I use to help run a really well known rs site years ago and believe me adverts are a dime a dozen. I'm sure there are many people who would love to have ad space on sythe. Also take a look around at all the newer people running around with 50-500 dollar ranks you're telling me usfine pays more than ALL of these people? I don't think so buddy.

End result its just another nail in the coffin for sythe. if you look at what sythe was a few years ago and look now you will see this is clearly dying, it had to change to selling nearly everything and anything just to keep the active user base up. Truthfully if it wasn't for my original gold selling site closing down I wouldn't even be here.

Richard has stated in the past that he will never allow scammers to buy ad spots on this site. Doing so would basically be condoning scamming and other fraudulent schemes. morals>money

    What the hell?

To advertise on Sythe, you need to email them. It's the little black box with white text in the upper right hand corner of the site.

    Scam=/=Dodgy.

Not the same. Yes, their customer service is terrible, and yes their respond time is terrible. However, the are not scammers, as far as I know. More so just a disorganised and lacklustre company that needs to get it's internal issues sorted out.

We all know that these places are super dodgy, but the facts are that few to no people have actually come forward with definitive proof of them scamming. I, however, have seen a lot of proof against BigBoiBets owners so I am not sure why they're allowed. I mean if I remember correctly one of them just tried to get pardoned.

If someone has proof of them actually scamming I'm sure they'd be disallowed. Dodgy is just another term for substandard - which all Asian sites tend to be.

BigBoiBets I wouldn't care if they were banned or not. But I haven't ever seen a report on BBB's website saying they've scammed? So the website itself imo is legitimate which is why I have no problems letting one of the owners be on Sythe, personally.
