I see your point exactly but in Amsterdam where it is legal most of the incumbent population don't deal with it as they realise it does no real good for them. I'm all for the support and IMO (I know this is most definately politically incorrect) but it's illegal because it would give brown people so much money. Tobacco and alcohol are produced in great quantities in the western world despite there terrible health effects, the growing and selling of marijuana would be dominated by the middle East - 'heaven forbid they get rich'.

 

I think many kids do it because it's illegal, in the end of the day, you wont get rid of it, and there will always be dealers/smokers, hundreds of thousands of them, so it will also reduce police time

 

When alcohol was made illegal it's price rose 600%. There is probably a similarly inflation effect on marijuana currently. It would probably be much cheaper or about the same as it is now, and scientists could genetically engineer them to produce more grams, stronger strains, or even specifically design strains to only effect certain parts of the body. So let's say you have back pain, it would be designed to only effect your back, etc. If we got the funding of the government behind the research, the potential it has would be limitless.

I support legalization, but like anything once it becomes legal I could see it being fucked up. The farmers will be using all kinds of fertilizers that will make it unsafe. And you probably wont be able to grow it yourself legally

 

Scientists have already done this, have you ever heard of G-13? it was supposedly created by the government and was the strongest mj ever. and one of the people working on it stole a few clones

I don't fully support legalization because this would sky rocket the price i have to pay per Eighth. I dont want to pay taxes and shit.

I only think it should be decriminilized, so it stays to private black market guys, but if your caught with like 28 G's er an ounce in other words you shoulod just get a simple like 75$ ticket. I've been smoking for 5 years and havent been close to being caught soooooo this method will probably save you money over paying THOSE GOD DAMN TAXES.

 

I feel like the price would stay the same, less costs for illegally smuggling it, causing the price to lower. But adding government taxes to that makes the price the same post legalization.

 

some of you say that marijuana causes schizophrenia and shit... alcohol can kill you directly, marijuana can't. by ur logic alcohol should be illigal too. im for legalizing

I personally don't see the downside to it. If they make it illegal, why not make alcohol illegal? It's ruined so many more lives than marijuana has ever.

I don't smoke marijuana but I do know:
-It serves as a "pain killer" when used medically, whereas real pain killers usually worsen a disease if it goes untreated.
-Notice the USA's fight on drugs, over a span of 30+ Years...not a dent! If they made it legal, reverse psychology would kill the bandwagon
-Also, if it's legal then dealers are out of the job, forcing them to get a job...stimulus win ?

 

They won't legalize because the governments can't make any money out of it.
It is extremely easy to grow, so anyone can plant it.
Just like a potato, it would have almost no value, they can't make any profit of it, and would only make them lose more money in legal drugs with simillar properties (painkillers, anti-anxiety and such.)

Technically if it was legal to grow, Marijuana would be very easy to grow by anyone pretty much, compare this to tobacco? Or brewing alcohol, how easy are they in comparison to the growth of a Marijuana plant?

It doesn't make sense to compare the three in terms of taxation as not everyone can grow some tobacco or brew alcohol well in their home. Whereas Marijuana can be easily grown, therefore reducing the amount which would be purchased through government control. Subsequently the amount of money made through the legalisation would dramaticaly be reduced.

I'm in no way saying here that the government wouldn't make any money, just re-inforcing that valid point.

I understand what you are saying, but it would most likely be cheaper to still buy from stores and such. Also while it is easy to grow, it takes up a lot of energy, and I would be assuming you would still need a license to grow it. If you don't have a license, they could just come in and arrest you/take your marijuana.

It is your body weight, but people would be out already by the time they got it.

 

i support and i hate how some people are to naive to look at the benefits of it instead of just thinking its a illegal drug that has killed millions

 

i will never do it because i will probably come addicted to it and it will ruin my lungs. but i dont think it should be agianst the law.. if someone wants to get high then let them as long as they dont endanger someone else. and it cant be any worse then alcohol thats what should be agianst the law
