I made that assumption based on the fact that what you said is usually said by people who have never so much as tried it. Excuse me for making a wrong assumption.
Also, I never once said it affected everyone the same.

You're absolutely right, and I should have phrased that better.
What I meant was that under the age of 21, alcohol is harder to obtain.
This creates, in many cases, a turn to marijuana as there is nobody to card you for it's purchase.
I should have said that under 21, marijuana is usually obtained more than alcohol.

This is true. Though, I never denied heart complications arising from marijuana use. I merely pointed out that more often, there are medical complications as a result of alcohol consumption.

Here's where I have to disagree. I believe that the effects of alcohol are more severe than those of marijuana, but again, this is just me. Also bear in mind that your opinion of it being lesser, that's just you. While marijuana does last longer, I believe it's much safer. People, in my experiences, have more control while under the influence of marijuana than alcohol. As for your last sentence, this is a complete contradiction to what you claimed that I said at the beginning of your post.

No logical reason? I got a couple for you... Taxation as one. This is a multi-BILLION dollar industry in the U.S. It would also create more jobs.. The money people make from these new jobs would also be taxed...
How about law enforcement as another? The legalization would benefit law enforcement in that officials could spend more time and resources on busting people for the drugs that are actually ruining this country. Meth, Cocaine, etc. Without people getting busted for petty marijuana charges, it would be meth dealers doing time. Think about it...

Please, name some 'problems' it would cause? Don't give me some 'high driving accidents' bullshit, because people drive high as it is. People already use it, so it's not like anything would be new, except of course the things I stated in my previous paragraph.

First off, yes, marijuana is a psychoactive drug. Would you like to know something else, though? So is CAFFEINE..... For all those that didn't know, I'll repeat... Caffeine is a psychoactive drug. Now, do you go out and do stupid shit when you drink some coffee? No, it might get you hyper (you could call this "not in your normal state of mind" as your normal state of mind isn't hyperactivity), but that's it. Similarly, marijuana just makes you feel funny, in a good way. Does your personality change when you drink a bit of coffee? No, and nor when you smoke marijuana.

Bro... I've smoked about three bowls before, to myself, and not felt shit. To say that it doesn't matter how much you smoke, you'll still be the same high, is bullshit. If that was true, I'd have a LOT more money in my pocket than I do. Also, if this were true, I would be able to just take a quick hit from a sneak-a-toke or a bat and be fine. Hence my theoretical saving of money.

Yes, it's bad for you, but also good... It helps regulate blood flow throughout the body. It helps people with heart murmurs, in that it regulates the heartbeat. It eases pain...
Alcohol, on the other hand, is bad for you. Sure, a SINGLE GLASS of RED WINE every night is great for your heart, but who are you trying to kid? Nobody stops at that one glass, especially because red wine is one of the only types of wine that actually tastes decent. I'll say it again, have you ever heard of smoke poisoning? Of course not. But alcohol poisoning is very real. That's exactly what alcohol is, after all.

Rest of your post, complete bullshit. Marijuana is NOT a gateway drug. Whether you try other drugs or not is dependent upon your personality and who you are as a person. I'm not saying it makes you a bad person, but it's not the weed that makes you do other shit.
I have friends who have smoked for over 10 years, and some of their parents, who have smoked for over 40... NONE of them have ever touched anything else, besides alcohol of course. Notice you said your friend, who is in juvenile detention, is in there for possession and distribution. You didn't say use. Meaning your friend may, or may not, have tried the crack cocaine. Though, his intent was to make money off of it. If he wanted to do that, and he was selling crack, he'd buy coke or freebase shit, he wouldn't do crack if he's making money off of it. People do crack because they can't afford better. Crack rakes in a lot of money.

At the same time, sure, I've seen people who have had their lives ruined by drugs, other than marijuana. But this didn't stem from marijuana use, they were bad kids before they smoked bud. It's personality broham, which marijuana does not affect.

The problem here is that you're comparing getting absolutely hammered to smoking a bit of weed. Most people DON'T get absolutely hammered that often and you can be FINED and ARRESTED for being intoxicated in public.

 

Alcohol 120% beats any of those. Both of these things are people killers, how much you drank= how much weed you smoked.

I think that alcohol is more bad than marijuana. The reason I think that is because both of them can get you into car accidents but alcohol can deal more damage and you can get memory loss.

 

Both have downsides, I reckon they're both fine if u use em in moderation.

Tho I do agree alcohol had a lot to answer for in its damage to society, in relation Marijuana is plain evil for causing parinoia and generally screwing your personality, but only if u do d stuff every day!

Marijuana does NOT, in any way, affect personality.
If it did, then as would caffeine.
You know, the stuff in coffee that makes you awake and hyperactive?
This is because caffeine, like THC (what gets you high in marijuana), is a psychoactive substance.
They affect your state of mind, and might make you feel loopy for a bit, but they DO NOT affect your personality, no matter the amount you consume.
Please know what you're talking about before you talk about it.

 

There are 10+ neuropsychiatric side effects of marijuana, including depersonalization, aggressiveness, and addictive behaviours...All of which affect your personality.

 

Wow wow wow, so your getting your evidence of this from where. I don't know about scientific studies but I know at least 4 guys who smoke Marijuana every day and it affects them mentally more then any alcohol or CAFFEINE ever could. They are completely different people now then when they were in collage due to this drug!
