Manual Permanent Ban?

Hey there
I was just checking an account I had banned a couple of months ago, and noticed that on top of my old ban, I had a "Manual Permanent Ban". I clicked into evidence, and I had a Jagex Moderator Comment.
Anyone else got this on any of their accounts? (It was dated to 12th August, so can anyone who got banned before this check to see if they have this too)
This suggests that Moderators have been looking through old bans and reviewing hte evidence, so some of you may have got unbanned?
In either case, I got another appeal to use, so its not all bad.

 

I have seen that on people's accounts.. not sure exactly what it means.

but try going to the account management and clicking the recover a locked account.

not sure if that's what it is though :\

 

A Jagex Mod caught you botting.

So... no chance of unban really :/

 

No one really knows why it's happening but a few people have had this happen.

Might just try another appeal saying my account was hacked. Second time lucky hopefully

 

The 'my account was hacked' excuse really doesn't work unless your IP was different from the one that you botted on. The difference or the similarity in IPs is a key factor in whether or not you're going to be unbanned. Also, if a Jagex mod manually bans you, you have a VERY slim chance of getting unbanned. Best of luck.

 

This mainly means that it was banned before the new ban system (Before '06). Most of the time it will have a reason like botting or bug abuse in jagex's comment. If it's either of those, don't even bother because it is going to stay banned.

 

or this also happens when you go to the runescape website through a link posted on a website associated with runescape cheating. It's called a HTTP Referrer Ban.

No such thing...they don't ban you for this.

 

Good luck but very slim chance of getting it overturned But You never know unless you try and appeal it .
