Malware System Rewrite, Browser settings won't fix

My system was recently affect by some malware that did a system rewrite and attempted to install shit loads of random softwares as well as changed my system settings for a ton of stuff. I manually went through files and did a system restore to clear it up as much as possible.

One thing that is still bothering me is my chrome browser settings. Everytime I close my browser, my homepage gets reset to some random search engine, and my default search engine gets set to the same thing. Doesn't matter if I change the settings it always reverts back. How can I fix this?

Tbh, you should just factory reset your pc. Back up all of your important stuff on an external hdd.

Yea, I was considering it. I found some registry keys that were messing the system so i got rid of those and everything seems alright for now. But if anything comes back I'll probably just reset.

Run Malwarebytes & CCleaner. Reinstall your browser. Run a free anti-virus program to be extra confident. The CCleaner should fix any registry issues. It shouldn't need a complete restore. You should first always try to fix the problem using the simple techniques. It is possible that certain file permissions and shit were screwed up, but your only issue right now seems like an easy fix.
