Making a pure - Return to RS.

[Armada]

Hey everyone, I think I might start playing Runescape again because I'm very sick and have run out of things to do in my spare time.

I was thinking instead of sticking to a main I'd create something more interesting such as a pure. I used to make old school pures in the good old days but I'm aware a lot has changed.

Can someone answer these few questions
1) Best methods of getting 82 mage quickly? P2P and costs?
2) Whats a fun pure to play and create? (with a relatively low combat level like 40-50 maybe 55 at the highest)
3) Tips/tricks of making a pure in the new Runescape?
4) What kind of pure should I make?, I was thinking a low level hybrid of some kind but need to know of strong weapons ect

Thanks

Okay, glad I know this information, I was completely clueless when I ame back too; lots have changed.

1) What is a CVLS pure and what kind of stats do they have? A CVLS pure is a pure with 1 def, 20 attack, and very high strength. 20 attack is required to wield a Corrupt Vesta's Longsword, which has the same stats as the one that requires 78 attack to wield, and are the highest hitters in the game. These should purely be if you are very rich, as CVLS's and VLS's alike don't sell for cheap at all in the GE.

2) Whats a fun pure to play and create? A very fun pure to create with low cb are g maulers. You know the routine, ancients with g maul. Also, you could try Range mauling; hybridding is fun on pures, especially at low cb.

3) Tips/tricks of making a pure in the new Runescape? Well, there aren't many, but I can give you a few. Since free trade is back, multi-logging and xferring is the easiest thing anyone can ask for. As for making a pure itself, buy the best gear possible and ALWAYS use potions. Be sure not to let your stats be too unequal, i.e high hp low cb stats, and lastly, BUY LOW SELL HIGH

4) What kind of pure should I make? Read #2

1. A CVLS pure is an account that utilizes the corrupt Vesta's longsword as their K.O weapon. They usually have 20 attack, extremely high strength/HP and 1-31 prayer.

2. I just recently made a ranger/mage and it is very fun. I'm 74 ranged and 73 magic, 52 combat. I'd recommend it to you, we could PK together if you're into it.

3. Patience. Training spots have become incredibly cluttered with botters, especially in F2P.

4. As mentioned above, a ranger/mage.

Thanks heaps for the reply, lots of information, I was under the impression a good g-mauler would be a higher combat level like a d scim pure.

I probably won't make a CVLS Pure as they seem too expensive to handle, 8.3mil for a sword that degrades... Thanks though

Yeah I'll probably need to buy

I'll become P2P right away so no need to worry about that , and I'm considering making an account like that and doing DT for ancients and then I'd be glad to go PK, this will all be in due time of course as I'm going on a holiday and will start as soon as I get back.

Thanks for the answers

1) Best methods of getting 82 mage quickly? P2P and costs?

Levels 1-3 Wind Strike, Levels 3-11 Confused, 11-19 Weaken, 19-25 Curse, 25-31 Teleport Varrock, 31-37 Teleport Lumbridge, 37-45 Teleport Falador, 45-55 Camelot Teleport, 55-82 High Alchemy
Should cost around 5M if I remember correct.

2) Whats a fun pure to play and create? (with a relatively low combat level like 40-50 maybe 55 at the highest)

If you want to stay in that combat range an obby mauler will be best for you.

3) Tips/tricks of making a pure in the new Runescape?

Keep your prayer and attack level as low as possible. These can be easily leveled up later but can't be leveled back down. Try each type of PKing, test out obby mauling with 1-30 attack, test out rune weapons/sabre at 40 attack, test out the gmaul at 50 attack, then if you still haven't liked any move onto dragon weapons then possibly whip and then godsword

What are good items to alch with small loss? - Used to be yew longs as I remember.

I might test out an obby mauler, what are recommended stats and important quests?

Thanks very much for the tips/advice too

I'm in the process of making a pure. I'm at 13 prayer, 1 def, 78 range, 60 attack, 76 str, 92 mage at the moment and 63 cb. I was a blitz Gmauler for a while, with 50 att, 75 str but it got boring because all you do is rush so I've started training mage and got 60 att so I could hybrid... I suggest you start somewhere, and build up as you get bored, don't remain Gmauler forever, definetely upgrade your pure if you like.

As for training mage, I high alch, it isn't too expensive, I'm experiencing a 6mil loss from 82-94, and had around a 2-3mil loss from 55-82. Getting to 55 magic shouldn't be hard at all.....

1) Best methods of getting 82 mage quickly? P2P and costs?

-Auto alch for a quick 82 mahe would take a day or two that's it.

2) Whats a fun pure to play and create? (with a relatively low combat level like 40-50 maybe 55 at the highest)

-Obby mauler and CVLS Pures. I've seen obby maulers running around with 99 strength at 50-55 ish combat and they rarely die.

3) Tips/tricks of making a pure in the new Runescape?

-Really no tips or tricks. Just the routine quests and all that boring stuff.

4) What kind of pure should I make?, I was thinking a low level hybrid of some kind but need to know of strong weapons ect

-As I mentioned above obby maul pure or CVLS pure.

Do you have cancer ? ( superheat the mage <.< )

That pure sounds like something my pure would like to turn out, I don't really give a shit about the losses of money with mage so I'll probably high alch, what are you currently alching?

And yeah 82 mage for me will be a must on whatever pure I make.

I'll start as a low level mage/range/obby mauler probably then get bored and go to 50 att, then get bored and do MM ect and become a real pure. Are you ever going to get pray to say 31/44/52?

What's a good auto alching bot? or just use an auto-clicker? + where should I alch without getting damn randoms >.<

And I might give obby maulers a try, I don't being a CVLS would suit me very much tbh but might give it a shot.

Thanks for the feed-back so far

Cool story bro. Kind of irrelevant to my thread though?

Do you have cancer ? ( superheat the mage <.< )

Who are you implying has cancer? What does having cancer have to do with anything? My grandma has cancer and it's not any kind of a joke fuckwit, anyone else or myself can train magic however the hell they want.

Thanks everyone that posted things of value.

[Bodybordguru]

make a range/2her at first, then make into gmauler, then ddser

[Seafire]

Do you have cancer ? ( superheat the mage <.< )

Shut the fuck up.

Are you serious right now? That's not even funny.
Enjoy your temp.

[Sending List]

for 82 mage:

Do alching and whichever highest level stat weakening spell you can do. You can cast 1 alch and one weaken spell without delay. It works nicely. Make sure you have negative magic bonus though for the weakening spell as you need to splash for it to be effective.

[cadvahn]

are u botting or playing legit?

[M3rchbot]

If I were you I would alch rune arrows.

They were a 16 GP loss per item about a week ago, probably your best choice.
Maple longbow (u) is about 160 GP loss now.
