Make it harder to Become an OMM

If there lazy then they shouldnt be an OMM in the first place though.

 

Or maybe it's the fact that I remember before free trade was removed and what middlemanning was like back then...

My personal feelings towards this matter are not at all what I'm concerned about. The fairness of the system is all I'm concerned with, and the requirements should not be upped solely to require a longer application time.

Might as well just say "You must be working towards official middleman for xx days before your application can be submitted". It's the same thing >.>.

 

The trading restrictions were just lifted after being backed up for a couple years; for the next month (or two) there will be a flood of trading. But you have to remember that that flood is going abate, at least somewhat. Rather than create an application that will be outdated in a month or two, I suggest only a moderate increase in the current requirements, at best.

Keep in mind, also, that the increase in trade volumes is being met with a significant increase in applicants and returning OMM's. Thus, the increase in the number of trades being done and the increase in the size of trades doesn't necessarily make it easier for starting MM's to finish the application - more likely, it will simply give a significant push to the trusted members who were stalled by the previous, overly-harsh requirements.

That said, some of these suggestions seem too extreme; an application should take no more than 3 months to complete.

 

I'm going to have to go with sin now, just because you complete a OMM application that doesn't mean your going to be accepted.

 

Thats my opinion too. As long as the staff can refuse a application everything is still golden and if they only have the required trades but no support from the Community ( and Sythe staff) these applications wont work out anyway.

It may be in the Sythe's userbase best interest for the requirements to be upped as these MMs can be done in a considerably short span of time gaining a trustworthy rank. That said completing the requirements doesn't equal having the OMM rank as they have to be approved (which can be very subjective).

My personal take on it is to up the requirements minutely or not at all.

P.S. I'm not saying there should be an increase, rather I'm trying to stir the pot or play the devil's advocate. Also sorry if I'm repeating what other's are saying, I haven't read the whole thread but skimmed through posts.

Ye im with you mate. Requirements has to be higher.
With the big community of sythe, the requirements could be setten higher easily.
