Make discord great again

First off, im unsure if I can post discord suggestions here, as it is an unofficial discord, but didnt know where else to put it

This thread turned a little off topic. So here is my new suggestion

My suggestions:
Several voice channels
A text channel for people who has been a sythe user for 1 year or more, as it keeps the amount of spam/edgy jokes that most newcomers come with a bit lower
A discord moderator team
Transfer ownership to @Sythe
Add specific rules to each text channel
Any future ideas from scotty the think tank
Add a dicing channel to keep dicing spam out of the chat
Add roles for donators/vouch count

Also, please ignore the first page of replies, as its replies to my old suggestion and are no longer relevant

Can we make it official by nano transferring leadership to Richard.. introduce different rules in different areas of the discord

 

I support banning retards ... like the "newcomers".. more commonly known as the vaders that just.. you know you want to block.. and then you get the annoying block messages.

I don't support limiting conversation as mentioned in op.

what I define as "safe space" does not define the same way as you've mentioned. >.> so I can't support. Anyways Richard always says shi isn't a safe space.. I'll presume discord isn't safe space also. but can we please ban the retards?

 

Classic case of the type of person that wants a safe place thats not getting what they want.

 

I support but if you say something wrong you can't just go give them a ban. Maybe an infraction or 3 day ban, perm is too harsh. If the user keep saying on doing it though then perm sounds fair.

 

its discord, you dont get infractions for anything posted on there. Just a ban from that specific text channel.

 

I would rather just implement rules that do not allow public harassing and threatening of individuals in the discord opposed to the creation of some "safe-space" channel that heavily limits discussions since people don't know how to react to an opposing opinion.

 

Nah, shit talking is fun, but some people don't like it. Its just to give them an option if they dont want to be a part of it, but still use discord

 

There is a difference between shit talking and harassing/threatening someone. It's fun for the few people who engage in it, I for one know I would be dissuaded in participating in a conversation as a new user.

I don't support a new channel as a way to further divide the discord base.

 

I think we just need discord mods to timeout mute people after a democratic vote for a mute has taken place.

 

I'd rather we just ban the idiots who think it's a good idea to spend two hours shit talking each other and spam pinging people over $10. That's what ruins it for me.

 

Yes, every discord user should be put on a list and people vote on who gets banned/muted and who can use discord. Half the people who use it are just annoying

 

I was once the emoji moderator, while I also had shinbot for a short period and did not do anything rash which impacted on the discords future.

I would be happy to serve in the discord moderator role, I think I am the most suitable candidate after being osbot discord moderator for a very long time. I think people will support my application for discord moderator, nano doesn't like me because I think he is a fucking egg. That's the only reason I am not shinbot, because he took it off me. Dickhead.

@Sonia would serve as a good assistant to me as discord moderator. I would also think about hiring an NA discord moderator, I would talk to @Gun about the possibility that he could mature up for the role.

As discord moderator, I would bring back the love channel, and the scottywazhere text channel, which was removed when I lost shinbot power
