Make a chat for Sythe! :D

Hey guys!
I thought it would be an awesome to make a chat room for Sythe.
Even something like "mibbit" would be sweet.

This has already been suggested. At one point there was also an OFFICIAL IRC server, but Richard took it down. Feel free to use the Unofficial IRC, but that's about all we're going to get any time soon.

 

Why is that the unofficial can't become the official one?

Previous attempts ran by Sythe staff have failed due to inactivity. Sythe also doesn't really support IRC from what I've seen, so I doubt the unofficial IRC will reach official status anytime soon. It's fine the way it is now, though.

 

It would be pretty cool, but it would have to be something that nobody has done before.

 

Probably already been mentioned, but right now, the officially unofficial sythe chat is our IRC at www.striked.org.

Care to post a reason ? or just that there isn't going to be one ? i see a lot of answers that don't really offer much of an answer at all around here. The IRC was the greatest part of sythe when i was here, still talk to some of the people today as well through other means. I will always support a sythe.org official IRC server

 

I would say chatango or something like that, but when you think about it seriously it could get awful if people start spamming what they're selling or looking for in the chat box.

 

We already have an IRC just join that.

 

This - sythe has said a few times that he doesn't mind if people make IRC channels and chat rooms but he will not endorse them to become official. More than likely he doesn't want to bother his staff with something that is not necessary for the site to be running, at least not at this time.
