Mage boxer worth it?

I'm thinking of making a 99 def/hp/mage with 11 prayer, combat level 99 . is it worth it now that u can use armadyl spell?

will I get ripped by higher levels using it?

 

Everyone seems to be using armadyl spell now days

 

Will I get ripped if i'm still using shadow and blood spells?

ive seen Mage Boxing vids where one guys mageboxing on ancients
and just getting pummeled by the new armadyl spell
Hopefully jagex will nerf it down a bit..
I didnt mind korasi but this spell is just fucking up the combat triangle

 

I like how I had no idea this spell even existed.

For people who have done the quest... Is it one of those quests people really don't want to do? (Difficult/long quest, difficult/long reqs?)

 

people say its the hardest quest in the game and others have said that only because of the 70+ reqs.

 

Quest is easy as hell, did it in 3 hours first time I did it and 2.5 hours second time I did it. The boss fights at the end are also effortless, since you can use protect prayers to make it so you take next to no damage.

No point making a pure for Mage Boxing, since everyone will assume you are 99 Magic/Def/HP Mage Boxing anyways. Same with Range Boxing.

The general opinion seems to be that Ancients would be better to Mage Box with, since you can use Blood Barrage to heal yourself and Shadow Barrage would poison the other person.

The healing from Blood Barrage would negate any extra accuracy Storm of Armadyl has, I would think.

 

Well being level 99 I would say 120+ 2x me when we would have the same stats. I don't think people assume that a level 99 is a fully maxed mage boxer.

 

They will assume that anyone Mage Boxing is maxed for mage boxing. Who would Mage Box if they weren't 99 Mage/HP/Def???

Not trying to be mean or something, just trying to save you the time of making the account and it not working as well as you figured.

 

I respect your opinion but there are low levels that mb with like 90+ def and 94 mage. and I consider being level 99 pretty low compared to everybody else mbing

 

People most definitely assume that mage boxers are maxed, same with regular boxing. You'll have a tough time trying to get someone to 2X you just because your overall combat level is lower. If you're asking to 2X they will look you up anyways to see if they have an advantage that is worth 2X'ing for.

 

Your combat level doesn't really matter, its your stats that make people 2x.

You'll need to get 99 Mage/Hp/Def and then do all the pre-quests and quests to get the spell, in the end it won't be worth it.
