Mac official runescape client not opening.

I downloaded the official runescape client but when I click on it, it just doesn't open. I have tried re downloading multiple times and it just never opens. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have you tried deleting all the RS files on your computer, including the Jagex cache and then re-trying?

Also - does the web browser one work?

 

Exactly what files should I be looking for to delete? And I have tried both swift kit and web browser; both crash on me, which is why I am resorting to official client. It has worked in the past.

 

The best way to find them all would be to use the Search function of your computer and simply type in "Jagex" and delete everything. Next type in "Runescape" and delete that also.

mmmm it seems to work for me just try and download it again, have a look at your java see if it needs any updates??

 

I have done all mac updates and it does not solve the problem. Also I have tried re-downloading multiple times with no success. I have also deleted any Jagex related files.

 

Have you tried adding more/less RAM to java through Java Preferences > General Tab > Options?

You may have to back up your HD and reinstall your current OS disk? Otherwise, like I've stated earlier, try playing with the ram.
1. Go to Applications, then Utilities and click 'Java Preferences'.
2. Select the 'General' tab.
3. Highlight the Java version at the top of the top box and click 'Options'.
4. Enter/add -Xmx200m.

And I think you said this before, but make sure you clear your cache and delete the .jagex_cache_32 folder, too.
