From my experience with luring, they show you x amount of money, drop it. Alch something which alches for over 10k drop that than pick up original stack, or as stated above somewhere they get a friend to drop 10k.
So you didn't risk it for 360m unfortunately. Good luck rebuilding, we all have to do it at some point.
