    Looking to replace HDD with SSD
    I have an Asus Q551LN notebook and the guy on the phone said it uses a 2.5" something and 9mm (not 7), will the 7.0mm ones fit anyway? I'm new to this but I know ssds are worth the money.

    It's using a 2.5" HDD at the moment yeah? An SSD will go in fine.

    I recommend Samsung in terms of SSD brand.

    Thanks man. On amazon it says it's frequently purchased with the one I have. I'll probably ask a couple more people just to be sure.

    Yep, I work in IT at school so I can just use theirs.

    Just ordered it a few minutes ago :)

    I got the 250gb one, on my current 500gb partition (I have it split down with linux mint even though I barely use mint) I use maybe 40gig with files and stuff and the rest is the operating system. Worst case scenario I can remove the optical drive and put in my hard drive to use as a file system.
