Age of accounts

Do people purchase accounts for their age on oldschool?

& more importantly has there been anything said about the introduction of veteran capes for oldschool?

 

Not really, but older accounts supposedly have a lower ban chance, so there might be goldfarmers/botters who might be interested in buying these kinds of accounts in bulk (still not very likely). As for veteran capes, they've been suggested on a Q&A stream before and the devs said they would think about it (lol), but as of right now there's no plans to introduce them into the game.

 

I've seen some users specifically look for an account with a pre-email username.

 

No one would buy a lvl 3 account based on just it's join date.

But someone might be more inclined to buy a 3 year old account than a 30 day old one becasue there might be less of a change of ban / locking of acc

 

Haven't seen any demand for these types of accounts, and I don't think they have any plans on introducing veteran cape as of right now into OldSchool Runescape.

 

Yeah. Would be pretty funny to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of an "oldschool" game

 

Don't see how buying a maxed old account instead of a maxed new account would be more beneficial

 

There is nothing special for having an old account. Id assume there is no market for them

 

Some buy them for holiday items in RS3, but not so much with 07. They may buy old ones for botting purposes though.

 

If the person is a veteran collector then yeah

 

It doesn't really affect the value too much, but maybe if that interests them than yeah.

 

Strictly for botting purposes imo

 

usually never matters, MAYBE for the 10 year vet cape or:

2. pre-email usernames
3. RSC login
