    So I've been trying to think of some ways to spruce up the markets and get things a bit more organized.

    The current system of just posting threads seems somewhat inefficient and, at least to me, seems stale.

    With that said, I'm not claiming the current system doesn't work. The markets continue to be the biggest part of Sythe.org. So, that is why I think the markets could deserve some attention and possibly some enhancement.

    Here is something I've come up with:

    As you can see, the link above is a preview of a new kind of account listing.

    I like this new layout because it gives sellers a LOT of flexibility but also gives buyers a LOT of power. You'll be able to search by certain stats, by certain items, and more. Technically you could tell the system find me an account with 55 mining, 60 smithing, and 25k or more gold bars, and it would.

    So, I've posted to link above in hopes of gaining some feedback from you all. I'm very interested to see what you:
    1. Think of the layout and
    2. How you think we could integrate it into Sythe.org

    Keep in mind the new system would not replace the markets and would also not replace posting threads. Ideally this new system and the current thread-based model would work together somehow.

    Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions!

    The layout looks absolutely superb.

    I'm quite interested as to how you would be able to integrate such a thing into the forums, however. Perhaps you should ask some programmers if they know of anything, but it's definitely something that I would love to see. It would organize the market MUCH more and benefit everyone.

    This looks pretty good and could prove to be very benefitial to the traders of Sythe.

    It seems pretty fancy and I like the layout. It covers most/all of the information a buyer would look for. It's missing the contact information though :p

    On the integration issue, we could implement an add-on to the marketplace that would filter the buyer's request down to the most relevant. Though it seems very difficult, I'm sure the community's brilliant minds could make it work. People could fill out a sheet for everything they're selling (gold, pins, etc) and add it to the Sythe market directory. On the issue of old threads coming up, there should be a "sold" button that would null the sheet from coming up in future results.

    Let's not forget the efficiency that would inflate if done right ;)

    Looks really cool tbh. Not much I can say to improve it though... just stuff like adding recovery information and vouches.

    I don't see why it should be changed. Sythe has been around for five years as a forum, and I think if ANYTHING it will make trading a lot harder.

    The Sythe Blackmarket is as active as ever, it does not need addition.

    I think we should leave current system.

    the only thing is what if somone just wants to go cruising and see whats out there?

    maybe you could make it a template of sorts for posts so it was left with the "forum"-like feel? ya know

    It looks great. However I think this should somehow be integrated into the forums so that people can reply in the normal forum replies.

    Maybe it could be in the main post instead of a whole page and the black part could go with Sythes original colour.

    In my opinion, I think it looks terrible. It takes out the 'personal feel' of people's threads, and I believe some people are just agreeing with you because you're an admin.

    It's been a while

    I think that it looks great. It would be a very effective system and allow for a smoother operation, no more searching through endless threads.

    It would attract a lot of people. I like it.
