Trying to be safe

Hello everyone, I've recently decided to come back to sythe (been inactive for a couple years). I sold firecapes on runescape here for a little while and i am trying to get back to it aswell as sell gp but i know back then i would get chargebacks quite often and it was a pain. Has there been anyway around this or does it happen just as often these days? Should i just use paypal and hope for the best?

For firecapes accepting 07gp would sorta solve that problem but if im going to be selling gold frequently im worried that it wont even be worth it. Any help or advice is appreciated.

 

You can always sell the gold to the reputable merchants with thousands of vouches, virtually no chance of chargeback.

If you want to open a shop or whatever to make a little bit more % you would face alot of chargeback accepting pp

 

Ya i was leaning more towards setting up a gold selling/buying shop but with the risk of chargebacks idk if it would be worth it

 

Safest bet with Runescape businesses are having them pay in RSGP, then selling to trusted buyers.

 

Some dude told me about insurances that you pay like 100 bucks a month + like 5 or 6 % of total income and they deal with chargebacks, and it's pure profit for you without a worry about chargebacks, but it's profitable only if you sell alot of gold...

 

Hmm well if this is legit then it sounds awesome, ill just sell to shops till i have enough rep/business to make that worth it. Thanks man

To answer your question directly, no, there haven't been any major changes in the number of chargebacks or the frequency of them. Personally, less than 1% of my transactions were disputed, so I think you were doing something wrong...

 

Chargebacks will always be around, preventing them is another thing.

 

Just stick to doing what BartonsVodka said, it's what I've been doing, and I haven't had a problem yet.

Sell to reputable merchants from Sythe or you can choose the path of PlayerAuctions which is 99.9% safe most of the time, but is super heavy on fees for sellers.

There is no running away from chargebacks when it comes to PayPal or online payment. Always bound to have some here and there.

You just have to talk as many precautions are you possibly can. Whether it be using player auctions or only highly trusted gold sellers. Just make sure that you feel safe throughout the whole trade process.

 

Hard call, maybe offer the service via PA

 

Charge backs are a part of paypal, hold the funds for 48 hours before delivering service if they are a problem.

Or accept BTC sir

 

PA is the way to go. They provide a form of insurance to support you.
