Looking for Help- PayPal

It's been 2 weeks, no refund. My plan is to chargeback. Anyone have specific tips for this? I get the basics: state that I paid a deposit for work, never received any work, won't refund me cause he's scammed.

Anything else in particular I should add?

 

Do not say it's a virtual deal because paypal does not chargeback virtually traded items. It's in the TOS somewhere.

 

I assumed as much. Just not sure what to say then.

 

Did the money come from your paypal balance?

 

Can't you just write anything? Some guy chargebacked me saying, "Bought 50 Shades of Grey copy, did not receive".

 

It was from my Bank Account.

Call up your bank and ask for a reversal for a payment you made two weeks ago. They should ask why, tell them "I paid a deposit for work, never received any work, and the person won't refund the payment". Paypal will receive the bank reversal, and the investigation will start there.

 

Call up Paypal, it gives you the advantage when you actually call them.

 

Did you get any authorization of the transaction from him? Like a guaranteed refund?

 

Pretty sure, just gotta go through Skype logs.

 

Called them and we are disputing it. Think it should be good to go.

This might not work because he said it was from his bank account, which is essentially a bank transfer (can't charge those back). I would call paypal and explain the situation, they will open a case up for you

 

I called my bank and they're disputing it.

 

Goodluck! Paypal covers virtual goods now though so hopefully you won't get fucked over
