The State of SCAR

Hi, Ho,

Old timer here, with a question. How is SCAR being updated and by who?

I presume Kaitnieks has moved on from their previous work at SCAR considering the previous experience with Delphi/PHP making Autorune and rune bot, and how autorune and rune bot got new developers later on.

It is amazing to see that SCAR is still running, and virtually undefeatable.

Is there a mIRC server I can join? Sythe or developer related.

I started off with those programs, that got me into what I am doing today. (CSE)

Also there is a new a new open source alternative developed by the srl-community. It's called simba.

 

There's an unofficial IRC with some programmers that hang out there, it's mainly sythe related though. (and most of the time it's idle, but there are some good convos).

Yes it was. Really surprising how long it's been around, and it's basically outlived every other RuneScape macroning system.

Are there any good Scar scripts for the JaGeX' 2007 RuneScape out there? Was thinking about checking it out, and maybe even creating some scripts of my own. Shit, will that ever bring back some good memories.

 

Am not sure if there is an include for 07 on Scar, i checked out their script section - there are few scripts, not many.

The community is focused now on Simba

 

You are correct. Kait left many years ago and the members flocked to either Mopar or Villavu. SCAR was handed over to Freddy who was all bark, no bite. He made very little changes and lost the community support. Simba was then released over on the Villa side and has now overtaken SCAR.
