Looking for a new computer...

NVidia>ATI
AMD>Intel
HP>Dell
LCD>Projection (Obviously)
Logitech for speakers
Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse (so much more compatible with Windows, get wireless both.)

Go Alienware Area 51 if you are into gaming. I don't mean Runescape and WoW either. Like Crysis. (You MUST have top of the line graphics/processor/sound card to even run it without slowing. It got the best Graphics EVER at the 2007 Video Game Awards. That is assuming you have peaked your system to everything possible.

AMD>Intel
I agree
HP>Dell
I disagree people always blame there computer company if there computer dsent work well. When it really has nothing to do with the computer company. If you install a virus on your computer its not the computer company's fault. The only thing the computer company is responible for is good pricing and customer support HP is fine but dell is the best.
LCD>Projection (Obviously)
that depends if you need a huge screen you not going to get a 10 foot lcd.
Logitech for speakers
perhaps
Microsoft Keyboard and Mouse
i agree

I wouldent get anything alienwar its a good company but there price are extremly high. And you dont need the best graphics card on the world to run crysis.

Thank you. I already have a LCD screen and Mouse. And I was just going to get a basic keyboard, nothing special, with a nice speaker set-up. As for HP and Dell I cannot really say my opinions. My parents own a Dell and it runs great, but I also have friends that own HP's and they run great as well.

And for Alienware. I really don't want to drop that kind of money of a computer. I've heard a lot about this company, and my consensus is your just paying a shit load to have the Alienware logo on your computer.

And a little off topic... I've heard about that Crysis game, it looks kick ass. And yes, you do need high specifications to run the game to it's full potential.

bestbuy.com Go in catalog

I saw a computer there with quad core with 3GB ram, 640 GB hardrive and a nivida graphics card 8400 gt. 22 inch monitor. Comes with keyboard/mouse too. It's preety good. Only 999$.

8400 gt sucks. Friend has it and it is horrible. You'd be better off letting someone pick parts out for you. I bet I could build a 500 dollar pc and it be better than that bestbuy pc :)

Be smart and build one, negroid.

not in terms of processing power, you won't.

Q6600 = 279.00~

But I understand your exaggerated statement

I also recommend building your own from scratch. Usually you can save anywhere from 300-500 dollars initial price, of course you are, in most cases, loosing the chance at getting a warranty, but usually viruses or any other reason as to why you would need to use the warranty can be easily avoided if you are careful.

actually building a computer isent worth it 90% of the time. The company's that build computers get parts for a lot cheaper than you can because they buy a whole lot more parts. Also adding in the hours you need to build the computer its really not worth it, especially someone with little technical knowledge.
