Clairifcation on a Rule

So.


I've literally spoken to 5 staff this point, all 5 are telling me different things.


There is definitely some discord here and I have no idea whats going on.


It's regarding the off-site feedback rule.

So far I've Heard:
-Offsite feedback MUST be specified in the thread/title or it cant be used-2 Staff
-Offsite feedback does NOT need to be specified at all as long as u call it feedback-3 staff

Can somebody figure out whether or not it needs to be specified among the team please.


Also- It shouldn't be allowed anyway but so many sythe people use their offsite reputation now a suggestion has no chance of a favorable reception.

I suggest there should be NO off-site feedback anywhere on any threads. If you do have off-site feedback, you should be able to have a link handy ONLY in your vouch page. That's my 2 cents.

 

feedback obtained on sythe = "vouches"
feedback obtained offsite = "feedback"

vouches + feedback = feedback
vouches + feedback ≠ vouches

make sense?

 

I think that since we require offsite vouches to be labelled as such the same should go for feedback

 

I thought you called "offsite vouches" feedback. What do you mean by this?

 

I think they should be kept and labelled feedback....which, from what I gather, is the current system.

 

According to the staff discussion we had, the majority were in favor of it being preceded with "offsite" but it seems we're not on the same page. Going to re-make a thread to make sure.

Self / Fake Vouching: If you fake vouches, steal vouches or in any way attempt to pass off illegitimate vouches as legitimate you will be banned for 2 weeks and be given a TWC. A second offence will result in a permanent ban.


NB: Offsite vouches are not honored or allowed on sythe.



Even the rules are unclear unless staff reached that conclusion and didn't post so.

Extra Extra: news on this, read all about it!

After a staff discussion and poll, only sythe vouches are honored on Sythe. This includes official counts, titles, signatures, etc. You cannot mention/highlight your offsite feedbacks.

In conclusion, you may not pool your vouches in titles, threads, signatures, etc. Sythe vouches and offsite vouches / feedback are separate, and must remain that way.
