I don't see what's so funny here. If it was a big stake, there's nothing wrong with arguing about the rules. I'd rather argue for 15 minutes and win 10m than not argue and lose 10m in 2 minutes. That is all.

 

None of those items really make me think they're that rich.

The joke is that in the 15 minutes they argued (and eventually decided not to stake), they could have staked other players and made a lot of money.

 

I got that but it's just...not funny
