Logging on in School

I know there have been a lot of threads about this but I was hoping someone could help me out.

My school has a firewall (gasp!) but its not the microsoft windows one. I can go to runescape.com, click play, it even loads the java applet. The problem is that when it says "Connecting to Update Server" it says denied by the firewall.

How can I get around this? Proxies will not solve the problem here. I believe there is a way to fiddle around in cmd.exe... does anyone know exactly what to do?

Yea... I don't really appreciate that because apparently unlike you, I'm somewhat smart. I already tried doing that.

I finally found something recently but I don't know if it can be done. I need an admin password and if anyone knows how to do this then I would be really grateful.

Honestly I don't really care, but I thought it would be fun to mess with the school system for my last 2 weeks of high school.

Have you thought about using a web client, i use webclients to go on during school....

i use rs2cheating (e.g. rs2cheating.com/world/world-111-1.html) thats for the world 111 for a different world just remove the "111" to the world number.

 

I can try it I guess, but it probably wont work. I have no problems loading the game and getting to the website and such. The problem is connecting to the game server and allowing a constant "talk" between the school server and the runescape one. The firewall essentially blocks any programs that require this constant connection hence no online games

 

yeah i know, but computers at school are too laggy to play runescape on...

My school has fast comps. 1gb ram. Most have 512 thogh

 

Soo no one knows. Alright... well my school seems pretty smart. Been trying a lot of stuff but nothing works. If I had an Admin password though I'd be money.

Anyone know the default password for admins?? Just incase they didn't change it

I really don't know if proxies will work here. I don't know everything about proxies, but does surfing anonymously really allow you to circumvent the firewall? Its not some website blocker - its the firewall.

 

I think the only way is to change your account into an admin account (yes, by messing with cmd) and THEN disable your firewall ,

But seriously, You might get in huge trouble if the school-techies know about this, and they probably will.

 

Dude Proxies WILL NEVER WOrk in schools seeing as the do not always block the site but the java applet instead

 

Go to www.logmein.com .. download the software on to your computer at home. When you leave for school - leave your computer on and logmein activated. When you get to school - go to www.logmein.com and log into your computer at home.
