    Any IT specialists/admins have to deal with this ransomware yet? My network at work was hit today because a user opened shit she shouldn't have.

    I was reading about this earlier today. Seems like the attack was well planned, judging by how many languages the ransom note was translated into (non-Google translate-esque translations, at that). Wonder how much they've made so far..

    I have, they're usually a lost cause (in most cases). Can you tell what kind it is?

    @Meteor-- Usually it's not a single group with access to one type of software, that almost never happens unless it's a privately developed and released program by said 'hacker'. In most cases the malware will be for sale to many users to infect as many users as they wish. Usually ransomware would be sold on the darknet.
