Buying runescape accounts

Hey. I have not played runescape for couple years but feel like starting again. Im not familiar with the new account recovery system and email authentication thing.

So I was wondering if its safe to buy accounts from playerauctions or sythe? Lets say I find account I would like to buy from playerauctions and the account has no recoveries or email or anything else set. I buy the account and set my email etc. Is it still possible for the original owner to recover it or am I safe?

 

There is nothing you can do to prevent the original owner from recovering their account. The only thing you can do is ensure that the owner you are buying from is exceedingly trusted. Otherwise you are extremely likely to be scammed

 

Ofcourse. It's always possible. Your best bet would be to buy it from a trusted seller.

 

I would advise you to only buy from trusted members on sythe. PA won't save you from getting your account recovered and it has very high fees.

Accounts can always be recovered by the orig owner, regardless of whether it has no recovers, emails, etc

 

As others have said before, buy from a trusted member. If you find an account you want to buy, but aren't sure if you can trust them and opt to use an mm, you're still trusting them anyways. Let me explain it:

Regardless if you use an mm or not, the original owner (seller of that account) can recover it from you. You use an mm, that just ensures the transaction goes down safely, so that you do indeed get the account. It in no way ensures that account won't get recovered.

 

No matter who you buy from, you are never safe. Pay with paypal as you have insurance that way

 

I'm not very familiar with PA, but from the re-search I've done on PA it seems like people always have problems selling / buying accounts.

 

Pretty much this, don't buy from someone that you don't trust.

 

If you're still paranoid about account recoveries, you're better off just paying someone to train/do quests on your own account. Will be more expensive, but you won't have to worry about possibly losing all the time/money you've invested into a bought account.

 

This and what other people said, buy it from a trusted seller. You can also do a recovery test, get the account locked and try to recover it yourself, if you can then you can have at least some leverage.

buy from trusted member, mods if possible! The higher the donator helps too!

 

My first advice would be to create a account and pay someone to skill/quest it. It's cost effective but time consuming, This way the accounts always secure. If you dont want to wait and want to play now, id suggest trusted sellers. Post count and join dates mean nothing. Vouch's and reputation mean everything. Buy from someone who has something to lose. Be warned buying from trusted users is expensive. Id suggest checking sellers vouch's and look for shit that matters! Anyone can put together 500 vouch's of bullshit. Account sales, Users going first to them and, size of the vouch's are what you need to look for.
