    What're the chances of implementing a live update feature while viewing threads? Which is like where you're looking at a thread, someone posts to the same thread, and it updates your view without you needed to refresh your page.

    tbh I don't remember if this was already asked for, or if it was tabled for vb4 way in the past. Sythe mentioned he'll get to looking at those approved suggestions when xen is stabilized, but just in case this wasn't asked for before, I think it'd be a nice addition. Possibly with a on-off toggle, if people find it annoying.

    I think this is already a thing on Xen, iirc I got a notification yesterday at the same time my draft saved that there was a new post.

    yeah but we can make the polling a bit faster for it etc. to make it have a more realtime feel.

    comes under the project of "optimizations" which won't even begin until all the bugs are fixed

    I was thinking more about this live updates business and due to the increased server cost I'm considering putting together a sythe premium package that would have some nice perks including realtime updates via a private gateway (less prone to crashing etc. due to not being used by the public) and two-factor-as-a-service (like duo or authy). But it's just in concept stage at the moment.

    Even if that's applied proactively, getting some donation credit as well would be more appealing for me.

    Could it not be made a higher donor feature Sythe?

    Like $200-$500+ Donors get access to the private sythe server/forum thing or whatever? It would also prevent a lot of bigger members being hacked aswell.

    Because the server costs are increased (quite a lot) for the live feature and remain increased every month it would likely be a subscription model. Possibly $5 a month for regular users and $10 a month for business (i.e. heavy users). As I said I have to flesh it out. It's just in the idea stage at the moment.

    Would this actually be used though? I'm just curious.
    I don't expierence many issues at all when browsing Sythe, nor does the site really ever seem slow for me.

    I don't know about anyone else, but I personally doubt I would subscribe just because the current sythe doesn't seem to have many issues?

    Is there any other perks to it besides a private sythe server for subs? If the original sythe already has 99% uptime, I don't see why anyone would use this unless they have crappy internet and want a better connection, It'd basically be a pay to reduce lag kind of thing right?

    (I'm a tech noob so pls don't crucify me if I didn't understand what ur proposing).
