I think we should not allow Live Streams in the pictures and videos section (or anywhere for that matter) as all that comes out of it is OUR members getting scammed for their gold / $. I've never seen a legitimate user coming to show a live stream. Even if we allow Live Streams I think should have to be verified by a Staff Member before posting due to the high level of malicious keylogging live streams out there.

It's common sense not to allow the java to Run, there's absolutely no need to implement time into verifying links that people generally avoid.

You wouldn't believe some peoples stupidity. I added the verifying as an alternative.

Quite a few legitimate users post live streams, banning them altogether would cause controversy, this will get straight up denied.

Why not simply restrict allowed live streaming to Twitch.tv? Their client is a flash-based video stream, used by IGN.com and other major video gaming industry companies.

I personally use the service, and it also records and re-posts recordings to your profile, so there could be video evidence to a scam for at least a short while after a situation like that occurred.

There is no chance of keylogging scripts being inserted into Justin/Twitch.tv streams, as they are not direct connection streams.

All of the live stream threads I've seen recently were posted by a scammer which contained a hidden link of a keylogger/virus.

However as Kinaesthic suggested, only click on trusted links as getting staff verification puts the staffs at risk.
