~Little Help On Used Computers~

Well, im poor, (ahaha) so im buying a used computer out of the classified ads (sad ain't it :/) anyway, theres a system w/ 1.2 GHZ CD burner and moniter for $125. Do you Think that is fair?

Then there is a dell p3, 800MHZ, 256 RAM for $150

Then there is an HP w/ windows XP for $85 i was thinking of calling him and asking him the memory and everything.

I dont understand the MHZ, and GHZ all i understand is the usual stuff like MB, and RAM, what should i do. And its just for things like RS2 and internet surfing, maybe some Call Of Duty.

 

it depends on what you want to do with those computers the first one would suffice for office work/surfing the internet only, but other than that they are all rubbish

it would be best to save up for a nice computer depending on what you want it to do

 

The Ghz/Mhz is the processor speed. It's VERY important. These days, you shouldn't be getting anything under 2ghz/2000mhz. Also, a pentium 3 is not anything I would consider buying, try a pentium 4 instead. Just go on bestbuy.com and look for a cheap computer.

pfft if you go to best buy youll spend a fortune you can get a decent computer at tigerdirect.com for like $200-$300

 

the clock speed isnt anything anymore look at the core 2 duos and pretty much all AMD based processors

and lotto if you tell us what you want your computer to do i/we can point you in the right direction

 

Just for rs2 and web surfing, nothing like WoW, or Guild Wars.

Ok, don't spend extra money on a computer with large HDD space. You don't need it.

That first system is the best of the lot, as;

1.2 GHZ =1200 MHZ
(The higher the better).

Ring up and ask for all of the system specs, including the current state of OS.
