    I said to Divica that the only way I could see that happening is that litcoins had an email change email before the recovery and used it after (if jagex's system is really that poor), unless she knows what that email is.
    There is an email in there saying recovery successful etc this is now the email registered to your account so best bet is the first one.
    Chloe will probs say I'm doing this on purpose, lol

    Yes, but it's just a guess. I don't know if that's possible, but I don't see any other way there could be a random email now attached to the account.
    The new email only has the successful recovery which says this email is now the registered email, and there is no email of a request to change email.

    I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure its not my responsibility to refund. It sets a bad precedence;
    Friend 1 buys an account from someone on Sythe
    Friend 1 'sells' account to Friend 2
    Friend 2 posts scam report saying the account was recovered by Friend 1
    Seller attempts to recover account
    If Seller is successful - Friend 1 paid for the account and gets it back from Friend 2 - no loss no gain
    If Seller is not successful - Friend 1 & 2 keep account + get refund

    It is a 'can only win and never lose' situation (I'm not saying that this is what is happening here, just saying that this is easily possible if this is the way things are dealt.)

    I could sell an account and unbeknown to me it is then sold on to 15 different people, I should not be then liable to those 15 people since I didn't agree to the trades. My understanding is that I am only liable for the sale of the account to LiTCoins, and LiTCoins is liable for the sale to Zac. I successfully recovered the account to return to Zac in the interest of helping out where possible, but it is my understanding that I was not required to do so. If Jagex now want to deny my requests even though they accepted it before, that is not my fault.

    Open for discussion :)

    Although you aren't accusing me of this, I'm kinda getting bored of the 'if' this 'if' that arguments.
    Maybe you are working with LiTCoins, maybe changed the email upon recovery to check if I'd notice to easily scam later. Maybe you have access to the account to the account right now and are just trying to sell it to someone, how would they notice the difference? If you had to refund 75m then you would still make 300m profit. Maybe you are faking the recovery to do all this!

    The point of me talking with a Divica representative, in which they confirmed they would help with the account whenever, the point of me buying the account was because it was you as OO. It was my fault at the oversight that LiTCoins may be able to recover, but you did agree with recovery and that is why you are liable, although I do agree that this is most likely on jagex's end.
    Although it is not my place to say, for your future sales you should not provide recovery details to anyone that you sell your accounts to, and then offer full recovery, otherwise this will just happen again. It is a process that most sellers do nowadays anyway.

    I'm not trying to run and hide, its a small sum of money. I just want to get the rules straight as I'm operating under the impression that I am only liable to refund the person that I sell the account to, if mods want to tell me that I'm liable to the infinite amount of people that the acccount can be sold on to then I'm never selling an account again.

    I'm not so sure about Divica refunding Zac. Divica had nothing to do with selling an account to Zac. Divica might be the OO but LIT was the owner of that property.

    The fact that LIT has been banned for several scam accusations the most logical guilty member in this situation is LIT.

    I understand Divica is the OO but the account was no longer her property and an agreement was made between Zac and LIT which is pretty clear that LIT broke.

    If Divica did not provide account information to the account buyer than I would have agreed that compensation is required but the fact that another user had access to all that information changes it for me.

    I don't think anyone thinks Divica recovered the account from Zac due to logic. Divica only had control until the moment the account was sold to LIT. After LIT became the owner, everything that has happened has been outside of Divica's control.

    Divica's appeals may be getting rejected because Jagex feel that LIT is the OO of the account. When more than 1 person submits the same information for the account and Jagex decide that user A is the OO than user B appeals will always be denied. It's like a judgement call made from Jagex.

    Just my opinion.

    Nobody blames Divica in this situation- those scenarios I gave were to hypothetical 'if' and 'maybe' that Chloe and Divica bring up.
    As Chloe brought up earlier, they can 'recover the account as many times as I ask them to, which is why we shouldnt refund'- This has been broken.

    The only reason I was able to prove it was LiTCoins that recovered the account was because he is an idiot who used the same email that was on the account before the sale. I don't see how this is differentiated from a random hacker, either way if I lose possession of the account, Divica's representative confirmed that they will help me with the account at anytime. - Which is the only reason I would purchase an account. Divica is trusted, LiTCoins is not.

    Also by this logic I can sell accounts and give the info to the buyer (fake or real), and then if the account is sold to a third party, I can recover that account, then pretend I can't recover, and not be liable?- Understand from this situation, as I pointed out earlier it was only dumb luck that I found LiTCoins responsible.

    Like Divica said it is a small amount of money which tears won't be shed over. If this ruling is accepted, there should be an overhaul of account sales rules otherwise there will be an infinite amount of more scamming. Easily avoided if trusted sellers don't provide recovery info, because it is not needed, and is already a common practice.

    Yeah I'm focussing more on the known facts of this case and less on all the "if" "but" arguments for now. Fact of the case is LIT scammed you not Divica.

    Yes Divica reps may have said they will help you with account anytime which they have been by sending recovery appeals.

    If Divica wants to refund you then by all means its all good but for now my opinion remains the same.
