Limited account help

So im on windows xp pro and on a limited account. My dad wont let me install stuff (like steam) or change the firewall settings. I have tried restarting the computer and going into safe mod, but this is what i get. The users Admin thats it, and it has a pass so i cant get in.

Is there any solution to this like a program i can run that makes me have admin. I need my firewall changed so i can run steam. If your solution works, ill give you a super vouch.

but have you tried going into the control panel and changing it there?
like
Start > control panel > user accounts or something like that
a lot of the times, the computer doesn't lock that due to the lack of "know-how"

try that, if it doesn't work, ill try and think of a way you could hack it

 

nothing works, ive tried it...

ive heard people using keyloggers to get admin pw's etc.

 

Keyloggers dont record stokes on login. I tryied it before. How simple was this google search fuck wit.

Well there is some program that makes a bootable CD you boot up with that CD and then you will see the all the Windows User Passwords.

Just read this and you should be able to get access to the admin account.

theres a also a non program way to do this.

1. open up your computer case.

2.Find this:

on your motherboard.

3. Move the jumper to the other 2 pins.

4. Turn on your computer and the password for the bios will be reset. From there you can change the password.

5. Put the jumper back were it was and close the case.

By gaining access to the BIOS he can then change the boot sequence of the computer to boot from the cd-rom which he can then use a bootdisc. Don't jump to conclusions when you clearly have no idea what you're talking about.

 

He could just flash the BIOS by removing the Lithium Battery in that picture.

 

Are you retated?

1. The person who started this topic was never asking anything about the BIOS.
2. You don't need to access BIOS to change the bootsequence Most asus motherboard allow you to change the boot sequence temp without going into the BIOS and if that doesnt work you can also change your boot.ini or download a program from the internet.
3. Not every motherboard allows you to reset the bios password by just putting some jumpers on the motherboard in a different possition also pulling out the bat wont alwace work.
4. Most of the time BIOS settings a set as this

1. Floppy
2. CD
3. HDD-0

So he probably doesnt even need to change his BIOS settings...

 

Here's another way to change the boot sequence. Remove everything but that Floppy (or whatever).

 

No, that would reset the BIOS, flashing is an entirely different thing. But if the BIOS is locked, and the battery is soldered in, taking everything out except the floppy drive may not help, because on one of my old Windows laptops, I had the other devices completely disabled for boot.

OPH Crack. It will get all the hashes, and crack them too. Just DL it, make a bootable CD out of it, boot into it, and watch the magic.

Your way doesn't work. You can't use net user and change an admin's account from a limited account. But Ophcrack suggested above would be your best bet as it cracks the password through the MD5 Sum, which lets you get the password instead of just overwriting it. However, if the admin password is too complicated, it may not be able to crack it.

 

Instead of ophcrack i guess you could use some rainbow tables cracker...there are some pretty basic cones out there that should do the job..
