This is your chance to convince me. What are his best songs, I'll d/l and check them out. Right now, I hate Wayne. He's a self proclaimed best rapper when all I've heard is wack shit. The good songs he has are Mr. Carter and A Millie and both Jay-Z and Neyo have a better version of it. So, let me know.
Personally i hate Lil Wayne too, hes a dick. But i do like that 'Let It Rock' song because when he says "when i arrive, i bring the fire" i like to refer that to me lol. I'm like "yeah thats me right there (H), i always bring the fire (H)". So yeah thats the only song i like of his. Other than that i hate everything else and hate the person. I haven't downloaded that song or anything, but i can stand it when i hear it playing.
I wouldn't go calling Lil' Wayne the best rapper but, I think he is good a making popular music and creating hype. Some of his better songs are: I'm the Truth Imagine I'm a Beast Shoot Me Down Back on my Grizzy PMW (Pussy, Money, Weed) Peat and as you mentioned, Mr. Carter.
I like 3 Peat and Mrs. Officer, but not because Lil Wayne is a talented rapper, but because it's SO DUMB that it's fun to listen to. His raps suck, he's got a good beat though IMO. He's my favorite rapper to listen to when I'm bored/doing HW, because it makes me feel more intelligent relative to what I'm listening to. I like Techno/Metal though to be honest
Lollipop blows balls and pretty much all of Wayne's songs that have been on Mixtapes suck also, after coming out with Tha Carter III that is. I used to like Wayne but have now moved on to Chamillionaire and even Ace Hood (don't say he sucks because the only songs you have heard are the ones on the radio/ TV which aren't that good) But the only song I've listened to and liked of Wayne's recently was - Never Get It
Wow. I didn't know this Thread existed. I heard Lollipop 3 days ago, and I've literally been listening to it non-stop. I don't know why, but I just love it... and I'm still playing it right now lol.

Lil Wayne is all about word play so you arent going to like the music if you dont know the words. Personally, I love Weezy, great beats, great songs, great rapper. Are you trying to say Jay-Z's "A Billie" is better then the original? Or has Neyo redone Milli and Jay-z Mr. Carter? If you trying to say "A billie" is a decent song I am going to e-stab you right now It is possibly the worst song I have ever heard.
