I've seen one up close like that before, it was slightly further away but it still scared the crap out of me as I was outside at the time, it was also hailing and I'm not joking the hail was bigger than ice cubes, I was like WTF!!!! But it ended after about an hour and it was super sunny again. (this was when i went on holiday to Bulgaria)

YEAAAAARRRSS Ago when i was in elementary school, we where driving there with my cousin and little brother, when lighting hit a pole about 15 feet from us. It's weird because it seems as if it's coming from the ground
