I strongly suggest you make your best efforts to contact the seller and try to work something out. But in my experience it's a scam, if all else fails I'm afraid you'll just have to take it as a tick on your belt and never let it happen again. Eventually you'll learn to not be scammed.

If somebody is offering an account like this with such high stats and lots of wealth but fails to provide recovery details I recommend turning the other way, also use an OMM to do a recovery test for you before purchasing.

And if you want to steer clear of being scammed at all, don't use Sythe and buy bots and make your own epic account

As others have said, if the original owner only provided you with recovery details and creation date, he obviously withheld a bunch of information. Anyone who created a lvl 138 account is a serious player, they take their account seriously, and should know nearly every single piece of information needed to recover it. There is also a chance he just nabbed it off another player and is lying about being the original owner, in which case you're just as screwed.

Try to contact the guy, but 99 times out of 100 these trades go sour.

continue to fight for a few days. ive bought 3 accounts so far only 2 in sythe 1 irl off craigslist. only 1 was taken back. i fought for months goin back and forth and eventually gave my friends 5mil drops till it was broke. i gave up and a year later i recovered again and ive had it now for a full year. maybe he died =X if so burn. if u get tired of it just drop the ban hammer on his ass and fry the account... thats not worth 180 bucks but its close =)

 

If your next appeal gets denied, go all-out and and tell them in another appeal saying the situation, and try to get the banned perm'd so he loses something too.

There is 2 possible reasons why the account has been locked:
1. The owner or another party is trying to recover the account with a fair amount of correct information.
2. You / others have played on the account with multiple IP addresses.

If you have the recovery questions (Even if they are not set they may work) and the previous password (First is best) then you can recover a account regardless if it has had membership. You also can recover accounts if you are able to have the first password, some member info and the full creation details.

 

if all else fails like eveyrone else said just charge back and get teh shit banned.

 

Start up your own acc man, bots can do work awfully quick. That acc will never truly be yours sadly.

EDIT: Big thanks for the advice guys! I am considering banning the account but i am not 100% sure it is stolen. The owner has not done any action to the account for a week now.

 

Maybe he's trying to trick you a bit before he starts playing on it again.

 

Ban him, charge back your money. It's obviously a scam, if you get the account up to 138, get overloads and all that stuff, you're obviously a serious player and know all the information.

There really isn't much you can do, judging by the way things sound. You were most likely scammed. There isn't much chance you can recover it, and even if you manage to, he'll most likely just recover again :x. Try to get him banned and move on.
