Well everything about Finn on this thread: http://sythe.org/showthread.php?t=1297798 is considered spam so I though I would post here about Finn.

Just post one thing you hate about him, there is probably enough reasons for everyone on sythe to name one.

Hes a hypocrite, he has a problem with Govind thinking about money when he used his status to push sales on his e-books to pay for his university. that bum cant get a real job

There's reason for this. Everyone has some issues so get over it and leave him alone.

Would rather save my hate for something that matters, but that was a hilarious post by Finn nonetheless.

You guys are upset with him for being cold and blunt, and you're upset because you believe him hypocritical. Here's why this is not necessary:

1) The thread isn't about him. He knows as well as everyone that he has some issues that WOULD need solving out if he were still staff. This thread is about the staff he's discussing, however.

2) As I said to some other kid (don't remember who, but w/e) who bitched to me over PM: Finn was being blunt and truthful. Why sugarcoat his demand for demotions? I would have irrevocably lost respect for him if he had pussyfooting around his claim, his evidence, and his conviction. It was his intent to display his side of the story, and if he must then there's absolutely no reason to say "please and thank you", it's a serious matter.

3) This is what the feedback forum is for. Whatever he's said that's personal between him and Govind/Giverny is between them. Govind is a big boy. He can handle himself

¹Whilst we clearly won't infract for use of the word, say, ''idiot'', deliberately making a provocative, derogatory thread about someone may result in an infraction, as will excessive or overly harsh flaming. Threads dedicated to hate and/or flame a member isn't allowed. Repeat threads and disregard of this may result in a Spam Forum ban.

It's funny, if a moderator acted on this then it would prove a point held by anti-finn-staff-is-biased users. That being Finn must be high priority, and while we ignore hate threads towards users like Vin Diesel or masterchief, we infract and deal with those towards users like Finn with swift justice

1. Actually I am not upset, but mostly find it funny that someone who claims to have such great leadership abilities and also claims to be close friends with the 2 admins in question, decided to pull such a bitch move instead of talking with them directly.

This is literally no different than 'Finn is Dishonest', and yet nothing will happen to him. He also claims that its bullshit that admins are focused on moneymaking, yet that is all Finn did with his books and trying to partner up with major gold-sellers in hopes of getting a part of our profits for simply using his name in our gold selling thread because he is "admin".

2. From what the other staff have said, at least govind is doing his admin job keeping up with the site, again this is from comments on that post. That's all I want from my admins on a market website. I dont need their fucking facebook pictures plastered everywhere or honestly even need them to be a part of the community. If they choose to do so that's up to them, but their main job should be working on the site. Also if you want to make money and are doing a good job as admins, more power to them.

3. I agree if the admins are not doing their jobs with the site they should be removed -- However replacing them immediately is not necessary-- it is probably more beneficial to get more moderators who are watching over specific sets of forums.

1) Once again, the thread is not about him. We have the feedback forum for a reason. The only thing he did wrong-- and arguably a forte in his character-- is make a thread rather than post in the "Staff Feedback" as per what's stipulated in the feedback stickies. Finn has problems but he's no longer in a seat of power, and even if his points are hypocritical in retrospect, it is irrelevant due to the aforementioned point

2) It's all personal opinions on this front. Some people agree administrators are only needed to ensure the site runes, while others agree that, as general administrators, being active in the community and relating with users on a less professional level is healthy for a site's activity. I can't imagine what'd it be like, just joining, and having an administrator reply to me on a thread I made. It would make me think "wow, this community is really friendly and without an extreme hierarchical bias, definitely somewhere I want to be!" It would be a boost of morality for anyone, to say the least. Point is: mingling with the community, in some people's opinions, is just another job/responsibly of an administrator. It's certainly one way to hook users, they feel included, and they want to stay. On top of that, you're "in the know" if you're active among the community, and that will help you better scope out potential problems OR potential new staff.

3) I think this point is still addressing my second point which you quoted. I agree with your third point though, we'll need to carefully consider who's to assume the administrator position in the event that we NEED someone to, and yes, it would be prudent to find more people who are up to the job of moderator. It's my personal opinion that we have too many globals and not enough sectionals to do grunt work
