I would say sell it and buy an evo. My current vehicle is a 2010 sti sport tech hatch, built cosworth 2.2 pushing 400 to the wheels. 700 at the crank but the damn drivetrain loss on these subbies are ridiculous

    I had a 350Z drift project:
I had installed Vortech supercharger running ~600 bhp on dyno with < 1 bar boost.
Upgraded a lot of stuff in the engine such as crank/camshafts, fuel injectors, added Wilwood eBrake, Tomei exhausts dual, catalyzers, test pipes, link ecu g4+, 5 map modes including launch control and 2 step, methanol kit in the trunk, it was a pretty expensive drift project, but worth every penny.
I might get another one but this time, engine swap's going to happen (either 2jz or ls)

If you want do a Mustang I would suggest upgrading to the V8 engine. I believe in function over form in most cases, and this would
be the best thing you could do for your performance OR you could even get an older lighter LX 4CYL model and put a 5.0L swap it
all for less than $3000 if yo have car friends who can help you out.

Can even buy a 5.0 for less than $3000 for whole car.

Basically what I'm saying is you should have the 5.0 in your mustang for any serious gains.

If not, turbo/supercharge the V6 and tune for under $3000

This sub is still meant for intelligent discussion, right? Not bro car talk?

    Okay, good.

Unless you're extremely wealthy to the point where spending several thousands of dollars won't make a dent in your budget (you're absolutely not if you're posting here), don't spend that much money on a depreciating asset. You have far more important priorities. Get on them.

    2002 mustang v6

Here's the best advice I can give you. Sell that piece of shit. If you're going to go mustang at least get the 4.6 and not the trash 6 banger. Also the year make and model are horribly known for having "Mustang Noises" It was a running joke at the ford dealership I worked for back in 09-11. I've personally driven them and it's embarrassing. If you want to stay mustang I would suggest any other generation.

why waste money on carbon fiber on a car like that, why not just wrap the parts in carbon fiber wrap? i personally wouldn't spend that much money on a car where you will never get that money back that you put in. nonetheless great build, thats for sure

    Spot on.

Ditch the V6 and work until you can afford a car worthy of upgrades.

This is coming from me, a former sales manager from a few very large Colorado dealers.

Hyundai and ford have some of the highest depreciation rates, especially the mustang, that are out there. In addition to this, all the money being dumped into mods doesn't increase the sale value near the same rate it increases your costs.

Cars in general are depreciating assets, and one of the number one things that keep people in debt. The benefit is you don't have anything financed yet, which is a mistake a bunch of people make right off the bat.

But my advice, liquidate all of that and don't dump any more money into mods, and buy a Honda or Toyota as they hold their values extremely well, and even some models will appreciate over the years (4runner).

If you're an enthusiast and love doing these jobs yourself, going to car shows, etc... then take my advice with a grain of salt as the financial negatives are being met with hobbies and enthusiasm.

However if you're just driving these cars for transportation, and buying these things to show off to fellow friends who drive the same types of things, I recommend ditching them immediately and getting a much lesser depreciating asset.

    -Can't go wrong with a 4Runner

V8 or nothing. V6 is a waste of money and time.

Can always just drop a v8 in it and make it a sleeper:) or simply make a clean stances v6. To each is own. Build what YOU like.
