Let's dicuss a hypothetical situation

Heavenlord please don't close my thread, I'm not breaking any rules. I simply enjoy discussing hypothetical situations.

Here is a new one:

Little Joey creates a thread on a popular forum that doesn't break any rules. The thread he created contains excessive text and maybe images.

The section little Joey created this thread in is a seciton that no one gains post count.

Now, if little Joey isn't breaking any forum rules, or doing anything bad that doesn't hurt anyone. If he is merely trying to have fun, should he get in trouble?

Discuss, serious answers only please.

 

Because Old Bob who was here before did the same exact thing and got infracted for it and was told it was against the rules.

 

But what if, hypothetically, there is no rule posted that says its against the rules? Should Little Joey be given a ticket for going 60 in a 45 zone if the posted signs say that the speed limit is 60 too?

 

So basically you think Old Bob should bully little Joey and his friends out of spite?

Doesn't sound like an moral thing to do.

Good analogy. Although I think a better one would be: Should little Joey be given a ticket for speeding on a country road, when no speed limit is specified.

But if you're talking about lots of content that isn't being excessively repeated without reason, it shouldn't be against the rules.
