"Account Upgrade" Section

This section is getting completely out of hand. First off I suggest implementing a "Selling" and "Buying" subsection like the other markets. Basic supply and demand, PINs were made illegal, less supply of membership. However there is still demand leading to "Account Upgrades" being $7 or more. There are people who offer "Account Upgrades" and tell you to add their MSN. When they contact you they offer the PIN. Since there is still a demand for PINs people will go first to these guys and end up getting scammed. However they cannot report them because then they would get in trouble for trading pins. The banning of PIN sales has created another black market and there is no regulation and/or consequences for scamming. I am not saying PIN sales should be returned, I am only reporting my observations. ​

Pins are not illegal to be mentioned here. Sythe just does not want them directly being sold from this site. If someone scams you a pin you can still report them. Pins are not some underground black market...it's the same as before except he doesn't want "selling pins" on his site. If someone scams you a pin they've scammed you and you should report it. I mean if you're going to make a post like this at least know the background to the section please.

 

Just remove the whole subforum tbh as it makes no sence really.

 

The answer is simple, just buy account upgrades
from people you trust. I mean be reasonable, would
a trusted member really risk getting banned over $6
trade? Just use common sense to be honest, and that
should lower your risk in getting scammed.

 

the selling and buying section is pretty obvious

the scamming part, I'm pretty sure you can still report them just show them the proof "I sent the money and my account was not upgraded to membership", where do you need to say the word pin?

 

Right. You can still just report them.

 

To add to this, I think you guys should make a sticky and make it CLEAR that the section is ONLY for having your account upgraded via giving your account to a trusted upgrader and him upgrading it.

I do upgrades, and I, for one, am sick of people adding me asking me to sell them a PIN and to make an exception for them. They cease to understand that I am not breaking any Sythe.org rules just to please them.

I would really appreciate it if something like this was made clear, and punishments were given to people who ask upgraders to break the rules and sell them a PIN.

I for one would be happy to make this sticky, as it is getting out of hand.
