[Legit] Cataclysm Alpha Client Download

Ahhhh screw it i better DL it quick then. The DL won't last, but this working might...Just never allow it to connect to the update server etc.

On behalf of current wow players, any knowledge if this would trip warden, scans, etc to detect if you are using this client? I'm sure that'd be grounds for banana ban.

 

It will work as long as you have the alpha client, even after the full version goes live. There is also no problem in updating, just the sandbox will no longer work unless you have an updated version of that as well; lastly, Blizzard has no right to scan your background processes or any other adds that you may have on your client, including the alpha. It's their own download, so it's 100% safe. I'd bet my left nut on it.

 

If you change the realmlist so that it connects to localhost only, then you will NOT have to worry about it connecting to any Blizzard server. Hell, you can even switch off your wireless while using the sandbox.

 

Yup. I have my realmlist set to 127.0.0.1 (localhost) and don't need to be on the internet at all to use the sandbox.

 

I'd do that then. Disconnect your internet while using the sandbox. Blizzard can easily find weird things and ban you for stealing copyrighted data.

 

Hello, its been about two days since i asked for assistance on an issue i am having. This issue is very frustrating. When i get to the installer screen it stays on calculating space or whatever then gives me an error saying i need to close the installer. Please help!

Try installing both Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable and Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable

No, they can't. They're not allowed, it would be violating every privacy law there is.

 

It's somewhere in their tos...it's what warden does.


It's weird, but they've got some sort of loopholes.

 

I think Naxpgaming already has had Cataclysm server for some while, so thats something if you wanna test this with new classes and stuff.

 

A warden can't detect a sandbox,it can detect bots/hacks...

I just installed the alpha... and it replaced my actual WoW and now I can't play on my characters. Is there a way to uninstall the beta and get my original client back without going through the lengthy process of downloading everything all over again?

 

It didn't replace it, alpha is in the folder called "World of Warcraft Beta", regular WoW is in "World of Warcraft". If you replaced it yourself then you're an idiot.

 

Hello here is my issue: every time I try to enter a Cataclysm area, such as the new Orgrimmar, I start lagging like crazy, then get an error and my client crashes. It seems to be for major Cataclysm areas, such as Gilneas, the new Orgrimmar, and the Barrens. Can anyone help, please?

So I am getting this error messege.

any clue on what that means? I also went in to the realmlist and replace it with yours. I get the error right when I get to make any char i want I also have the new beta patch idk if that has anything to od with it or not. Thanks for your time!
