Legalize Marijuana?

I also think it should be legalized. I'm sure it's been said many times in this thread, it doesn't hurt anyone, but adult swim said it gives you ball cancer, so...

 

If alcohol (a substance which kills countless people) is legal, then weed definitely should be, too.

Alcohol makes you reckless and violent. Weed does the opposite. If weed were legal, there would be less innocent good people in jails. I mean, why would you even arrest someone who wants to relax?? I think it's stupid. If anything, ban alcohol! That's the real bad thing. Weed never hurt anyone.

 

It's actually JUST AS bad as alcohol.

I think we should legalize it, not growing, but maybe buying it from Government. If they do legalize, they will/should put HIGH taxes on it so people don't abuse it and so that it helps keep economy good.

 

I think it should be legalized, but with an age limit. It can still be illegal to grow and sell the same way you're not allowed to make homemade alcohol.

I'm talking about the intoxication levels.
If you're driving and drinking or smoking marijuana, intoxication levels are around the same, alcohol is just a bit higher. But the risks of getting into accidents is just as close as to alcohol.

 

That's true.
But people who are stoned drive more slowly than people who are drunk, because people who are drunk are overconfident about themselves and when you're stoned, everything seems alot faster when in reality it goes quite slow, actually.

Why would you want to give the government a monopoly on it...? Unless you like inefficiency and less quality than you could have otherwise obtained of course.
Taxation doesn't help the economy at all.

 

Show one source where it says that the number of alcohol and cannabis related road deaths are close, otherwise stop posting such wild claims.

 

I know if you're driving while you're high it's completely safe, but can it be as dangerous as alcohol if you're stoned out of your mind? Never done pot so I don't know, plan on trying it some time soon though.

 

There are a lot of times I wouldn't drive stoned because I am too fucked, but I doubt many people would drive in that state either since you can barely walk let alone make it to your car.

 

I fell down the stairs yesterday because I was too stoned, imagine it of I was driving a car! Damn, I wouldnt make it alive out of the driveway.

lol, well I guess I can't really say for sure because I've never done it, but I actually might do it this weekend for the first time, and I'll see what happens. I'm not going to get stoned out of my mind though, just going to get high.

How would taxing something free us from a depression (or recession as you call it) when the same depression was intentionally caused by the ruling elite?
