I would rather train skills than do quests though anyday. God, I hate quests. Just about to start underground pass on one of my characters today 
Woodcutting, which is why I'm working on that being my first 99 on my main. I want that skeel done!
Dung is not that bad if you have a group to play in... it can be really fun at times in my opinion.

Farming is the worst. Absolute worst.
Slayer makes you money, Runecrafting makes you money, Firemaking can be quick and painless, Dungeoneering is usually a bit more interesting but slower xp.
Farming is the only one that takes a LONG time to do (pre-Livid Farm) which makes it a pain in the ass.

Farming doesn't take that long, took me a few months doing 40 mins of work a day lol.
I hate dungeoneering :/ thank god there is Idung
When I played runescape I hated farming. Now I think dungeoneering would be my most hated skill.
