Learning To Play Guitar

I have gotten a guitar, and am learning to play it.
I know the opening intro to the sunshine of your love by cream..
That's it.
I suck.
Can anybody refer me to some sites that may help?

I recommend Next Level guitar more though.
But in the end, it all depends on you for how good of a guitarist you wanna be.

Best medicine for that is practice dude. You will not get anywhere without it. Because you cannot just be automatically good its improbable.
Learn some scales and practice them everyday then you will play at least a little better.

 

http://www.zentao.com/guitar/ is a good website, but i suggest buying a method book.

Basically you just need to find stuff you like to play and practice allot.

 

Have you ever thought about lessons? They helped me a ton. The teacher works with you and if your having trouble with something, he can give you tips because odds are he's better than you. If he's not, get a new teacher

I doubt its going to be free unless the its your friend thats teaching you.

Does youtube/the internet actually help you, no, it just shows you what to do lessons actually work with you and show you everything.

 

Yeah dude its not gonna be free unless you dont get frustrated easy. Online lessons seem like fun at first but you get pissed off easily and its annoying after that. It really isnt that much for a teacher so learn a few basic riffs some chords and go get a teacher they can be very helpful.

 

Tabs are learning how to play. its just a simple version of it, I have been playing the guitar for 11 years now and can play just about anything just by hearing it once. but that takes a lot of time and practice. some easier songs you might wanna look up for a starter
