Lol is going in good direction atm with ranked game changes , you will be able to choose two positions and can play rankeds with up to 5 people . You will be able to restart the game if your ally did not connect to the game soon so i hope the toxicity to go away because games are mostly lost in champion select.

From champions you listed above they are just annyoing not quite op .

Every video game you play you're always going to have something to complain about and say you "hate" it. Yet you still play every day. Why can't people just either enjoy the game or quit. Really annoys me.

 

I agree with this, however i don't think riot really cares about ranked games, but more about the championships and what teams are currently playing, atm we can see redbull just signed up with a few teams in NA recently, so league imo, is going to be a gaming career suitable for the future if you can actually have the mentality for it and climb the ladder to become known.

I actually like the direction they are going with in League - releasing unique champions slowly, while reworking older ones (poppy, sion, gangplank, skarner etcetc). The only thing that annoys me is champions that do a lot of cc/decent damage while still being tanky (gnar/illaoi/ekko) but that's personal since I only play burst champions.

They could also do with less OP releases, but I suppose its best to start new champ patches with OP stats, rather than UP stats, or its just an underwhelming release.

 

Is this really better though? By starting with OP releases and then tuning down, enough to make it still strong but not completely OP the issue of power creep and mobility creep always come up. Just look at the number of recently past released champions with a dash, or those with knockups. I feel an underwhelming release is better in terms of game balance, at it allows them to bring the champion up to whatever standard the other champs are at, rather than what they have done a lot by making OP releases then tuning them down to make the champs ever so slightly more powerful than the others. But hey, whatever they need to get people to buy new champs and generate money, I understand they're a company.

 

Riot only cares about competitive now, every patch is adjusted for the pros. The meta shifts to what the pros create. Its absolutely terrible, us the players are the ones that fund the game and make/made it successful but we just seem forgotten.

 

I wish they'd release more "basic" point and click champions such as Annie, WW etc. but they probably won't due to these champions are unappealing and won't rake in the 975 RP like an Ekko, Kindred or someone else "complex" and "fun" would.

 

Yeah I can't remember the last time riot just released some really basic champion that you didn't need to just about study to master it (to a certain point). Riot is only building the game for competitive play which is not even .1% of their audience.

 

Competitive is 100% of their audience. The game is literally built on competition.

 

Yeah I just think that not everyone is about the competitive scene, lots of people just play normals for fun. I played ranked and follow the competitive scene to a certain extent. I just feel that there are still many of these updates that are ruining the game for a large proportion of the playing base.

Have been playing League of Legends since it started after a school mate recommended it to me. The earlier years were definitely the best with Riot firmly fixed on improving the gaming experience for all of it's players hence the large popularity that soon followed. I don't play often anymore (I prefer CS:GO now a days) but when I do it's still relatively fun, a lot of the new champions I haven't bothered to learn as I'm not as invested in league as I once was. Riot has done well thus far and they'll often stumble here and there with no good patches but it'll take an enormous **** up for the game to go down under. Especially with Esports booming and expanding players see a future in Professional play, it motivates them to continue playing in hope that one day they may be skilled enough to compete against the best. And even if they are not, spectating professional play is motivation enough to play. League will have ups and downs but it wont shut down any time soon, Esports playing a major role in it's continual success and future success is one reason I believe this to be true.

 

With League's popularity there is no chance it will die. Like seriously, even if it see's a significant decline in players that would see other games like runescape die, it would still be huge in comparison.
I do believe another game will eventually dethrone league but it wont ever live to see a huge shortage in players in my opinion.
I mean especially currently, league is probably the biggest E-sport game with millions being put into it regularly, the cash flow wont stop and therefore the game will still see bigger teams with professional attributes like managers/analysts which always gives league the advantage.
As long as it stays free it wont ever die down.
But I agree the current updates are getting extremely stupid and I hate it too, the champions are becoming way to complex and it's becoming a game I'm not familiar with from S3,S4, but all games make stupid updates which see's a majority stop playing or just do nothing which also has the same effect.

 

The only champions from OP's list which are imo ridiculous is the latest 3, Illaoi, Kindred and Tamh Kench. If you know the champion decently you can easily just carry the entire game. And all the other champions are maybe strong as in Tier 1-2 picks but not OP or w/e. It's just like most other champions: If you master the champions they are in the enemies eyes OP cuz they get rekt most of the time.
