Latvian Steam-scammer

Hello men and women of Sythe. Today a fellow sythe member tried scamming my friend off of his steam account. This scammer comes from Latvia and goes by the name Edvinas on skype

When this person first approached my friend on skype, he instantly started babbling about how multiple people had tried to scam him and that he didn't want to go first, so we implyed politely that we would love to use a middleman instead. He refused to and said "no i would like you to go first, middleman could be your friend"

So after this the person called my friend on skype because he wanted to talk, he pretty much said what he said earlier. This time showing multiple skype chats where people had supposedly scammed him. So we went on to believe that he was legit and he was just scared of getting scammed again. So we decided to see if he was legit. If he wasn't we could recover the account with the necessary information anyway. So now we moved onto saying that we can go first.

We sent the account information and changed to his email, removed all protection on the account and allowed him to do as he pleases with the account. All we required was that he would send the money and then we'd be fine. So he goes on paypal and not only does this scum try to scam the account but he also tries to request 40$ off of us on paypal.

After this scam attempt we could unfortunately not get his sythe profile, if he has one that is. But we got away with his name, facebook, email and such and we can provide this to moderators to see if we can find his profile. If he has one that is.
