laptop trouble..

Well, I got a Dell inspiron 1525 for xmas.
I was setting it up when I typed in the password for the admin account i guess i typed in something different because i couldnt log on haha. .
well I restarded the computer and put the reboot disc in, held F12 and rebooted from the internal drive. Now when I start up my computer and what not, It just shows a recycle bin on the desktop, and says I need to install driver software for my base system device.

It cannot connect to the internet, the wifi light it has doesnt turn on and I have an active wireless internet( just checked on my ipod touch) and I tried getting on the internet via ethernet cable, and it didn't even recognize it, so can someone help?

 

wow u screwed up big lmao, i would suggest taking it to a computer repair store and having them fix it cuz the drivers would probably cost alot... you shouldn't have rebooted it lmao, just coulda called tech suport and asked about the password not working...

 

Well i would just reformat and reinstall windows again. Its not worth having a fight trying to fix it. If you got it at Christmas it probably doesn't have much on it so it wouldn't matter much would it? Your best bet is to reformat. To reformat insert the dell recovery disk. It should do the rest.

 

Ummmm, reinstall the drivers. They should have come with your computer in the box. All the CDs that say THIS IS ALREADY INSTALLED ON YOUR COMPUTER. Once you install the drivers, everything like the internet will work.

 

here something to try: during restart enter the setup and menu and try to boot from a restore point. Most new computers come with a partition back up on the hd where you can restore from.
