Key code

[jsavy]

I downloaded a keygen hoping to magically come upon a cd key for my new steam account because I lost the CD key thats being used on my first account.

I've set it to alpha numeric, 13 digits and everything but its my first time trying to use anything like it and I'm really lost. Can anyone shed some light or help me through it?

Are you sure its a steam keygen?. What exactly is the problem?

Unfortunately, Valve is one of those companies who validate their product keys against and online server. If you've lost yours, a key generator wont work because the keys generated have to match the encrypted information on their servers. You should give valve an call and see if they'll give it to you in exchange for your personal info. I've done this before with them and was able to prove that I was the original owner after I lost a password and key.
