    So after my RS account was hacked I found out the easiest form of protection that I should of had enabled that would of prevented me loosing my items;

    JAG PROTECTION

    If something like this could be implemented on Sythe were if someone is trying trying to access your Sythe through a different IP you would be sent an email to your registered account and you would have to answer it correctly in order to log in.

    Now how SVU comes into this is via the same method we use to secure an SVU users could pay like $5 for a text sent to there phones etc that has a code which will be the only thing that allows you to use a different IP to log in. Also same as SVU you would have to be a certain type of donor to have access to this feature.

    To those of you who use VPNs etc you don't have to have this, this is an extra security method, or you could just use the passcode to register that new IP.

    thoughts guys?

    Edit;
    Also don't think extra security isn't that much useful, some people are investing thousands in Sythe I think for an extra one time fee of $5 it would be worth it

    I believe this was suggested and then denied because it wasn't possible to do, although it would actually be a good idea it would stop SO many scams if you could attach your phone number and you'd get a text and you'd have to enter a code or something.

    Support.
    I know that Moneybookers emails me when I've done my password incorrectly. So perhaps rather than a text an email? Or Both..

    I think text would invlove paying. Just make it an email, like JAG. Support, seems like a good idea.

    Hence why i suggested text and hence why i suggested a $5-$10 fee so that a text that would charge the site could be compensated.

    to have something like JAG enabled would take some very skilled coding, I don't think anyone around here could do something like that.

    How about phone verification for new ip addresses?

    No support, if they can access your Sythe they probably can your email. If they don't know your password they need the same ip anyways. Also most large users have other Sythe users phone numbers so they can just text them to make sure before doing a password reset to the email requested.

    EDIT : Texts would work, but who'd want to pay constantly?

    Never once in 6 years have I had my Sythe account hacked. This is a good indication that if you use common sense, you don't get hacked.

    Emails have been exploited, Sythe accounts hacked. You aren't a high priority target, they prefer hacking large donors and/or people who make a living off the market. Although old accounts have been hacked in the past, they never managed to steal anything close to what they could with say someone like Arcus's account.

    This suggestion was denied in the past, I can't remember for what reason exactly. But I'd be all in for this. Someone who's donated $500, doesn't use Sythe anymore, am afraid I'd get hacked and come back banned. I'd rather pay for the text or whatever it costs for the emails and lose a few dollars than potentially paying back a few hundred. I was also a recent target when high profile accounts were getting hacked (few months ago), I got a PM from a staff saying I was a target, although no evidence I did talk to the hacker that was trying to and confirmed it. Obviously I didn't tell him who I was.

    It would be a bit tedious to request an SRB to stay safe, when I just want to browse the forums and reply from time to time.

    Anyway I doubt this would get approved.

    The cost is just too much. It would require 20-40+ Sythe users to donate atleast $5 a month.

    Right.. you're a god amongst us mortals that make mistakes, you deserve the rank 'fucking amazing cunt' and we should all bow down, because it's not common for people to get hacked therefore you are right, it's the common sense that prevents hackings... fucktard..

    Then possibly take out something as useless as SVU and replace it with this :p

    Not sure how the fee's would come in actually, like i'm looking at just an IP lock on accounts, each account has an IP why not just register that IP via text verification and then make it so that you require that IP to log on, the fee's that you speak of could come from this actual verification process, so like $10 fee for a lock on IP could be made.
