First of all, I'd like to reference this thread: 2FA Reset Needed
I took a couple month hiatus from Sythe, during which I got a new phone. As a result, when I wanted to return I had to reset my 2FA. I should've re-enabled it as soon as I regained access to my account, but I put it off.

I first realized I was hacked when I noticed a request to remove my bank pin on RS. Then when I signed into Skype, I saw my recents had a bunch of random contact requests sent out. I read through all the skype convos the hackers had and all but one didn't even proceed to the point of a deal. The one that almost was a scam was with Boney (who I thank and applaud for reporting my Sythe account for a precautionary ban). The details of that are in the thread above. After I saw that skype convo, I immediately checked Sythe, and nothing seemed out of the ordinary. My inbox hadn't changed, and my account hadn't posted anywhere since I did. That's why I was shocked when Boney's report included a PM from my account. I immediately re-enabled 2FA on sythe (shortly before the precautionary ban), changed all my passwords/info, and ran multiple full system sweeps. I've got no clue how my accounts were even compromised in the first place, as I am usually hyper aware with cyber security, but I've just run Malwarebytes and Norton scans, both of which are 100% clean.

In short, I'm incredibly thankful that no successful scams took place, and now that I have locked down my accounts/ensured that my computer is clean, I'd like to request to have my precautionary ban lifted.

Cheers for getting in touch, Kays. What email are you intending to use going forward so I can make sure this is correct on your account?

 

Can you try and recover your account to that email now using the "forgot password" option on the log in tab? Then when you have access post here again as you have been doing and I'll lift the ban.

I've reset the password using that email as per your request Roary.
However, now when I try to log in with the new password and 2FA, it still won't let me access this forum to post, simply citing my ban reason.

 

Just wanted to make sure it was in your possession before I unbanned there you go.
